Getting your boat in and out of the water is a breeze with this heavy-duty winch strap. It features a break strength of 4,000 pounds and a steel snap hook, enabling you to safely, rapidly load and unload your boat.

  • Heavy-duty strap works with a hand winch, enabling you to safely load and unload your boat from your trailer
  • Zinc-plated steel snap hook attaches to your boat's bow
  • Built-in keeper prevents hook from disconnecting
  • Loop end of strap attaches to winch drum with the included bolt and nut

  • Strap dimensions: 2" wide x 20' long
  • Maximum load strength (break strength): 4,000 lbs
  • Safe working load limit (WLL): 1,333 lbs
  • Quantity: 1 winch strap
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Note: Winch straps should always be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The item being towed must not exceed the WLL of the strap being used. To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the tow strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load.

It works!
Nothing too exciting to say
other than it has weathered really well and it works.
I have it installed on my 5x8 trailer.

my old strap was getting very worn out, I had broken and tied it twice. So glad I finally got a new strap, as the first lake I went to required me to crank the boat on. This one was perfect.

Good standard winch strap. Fit right on existing winch

Good quality easy to install.

Part of my order was missing but very quick in getting it shipped to me.

I bought this winch strap to replace an unknown-age strap used for our 21 ft Crownline I/O. The previous strap was feeling a bit brittle at the exposed end and I didn't want to have issues pulling the 3800-4000 lb boat onto the trailer. I use a safety chain as well, but a new strap was cheap insurance.
The new strap installed just fine into the winch assembly, all hardware was included. Very simple, just unwind the old strap/remove the attachment bolt and reverse the order to install the new strap. You need to apply some pull pressure on the new strap in order to ensure the winding is tight when you install it for the first time, or simply pull the boat up with it.
Very pleased with this strap, a great and inexpensive replacement part.

The trailer winch strap that I recently purchased was a quality product at a great price. As always the shipping charges were very reasonable and I got my package super quick . Thanks for the great service !

great replacement

The replacement strap for my electric winch performed well & no issues after one year of use.

The strap still works very well

This product was purchased to replace the original winch strap on my pontoon boat trailer. It exactly matched the dimensions of the original strap and the metal hook and bolt are of similar quality. Product was delivered promptly and packaged well. Will do business with etrailer again.

The boat buckle winch strap that I purchased is not for me but for my friends boat. Everything that I have purchased from etrailer has been top notch quality and My fishing buddy's agree. This is intended to replace the aging winch strap that came with the trailer originally.

It's a strap. It works well. I used it with the DL11002 hand winch.

Its still holding up after 1 year. It stays dry so will probably many years.

I always find both the product and service to be everything I expect and more when purchasing replacement parts for my boat trailer. The wench strap I purchased is the quality I was looking for at a very attractive price.

Etrailer is my "go to" site because they always have the parts I need and sell them at very competitive prices. Their response time with fulfillment is always faster than I expect. They know how to satisfy their customers.

I ordered a boat trailer winch stap and Boat Buckle ratcheting tie down. I received them on the day they said they would arrive. The service at E-Trailer has always been great and the follow-up has been awesome.

every thing I ordered was awesome
my boat trailer now sits straight after getting the new springs
looking forward to finishing my project will order more parts if needed very pleased
thank you

The diameter of the bolt included with this strap was too small for my trailer. I was able to use the old bolt although it was a bit rusty. When asked to do a review I mentioned this problem and just got a "sorry you had a problem" response. Otherwise this strap and buckle are good heavy duty and should last a long time.

The winch strap was easy to install and fit properly. The bolt could be a hair shorter as it has almost no clearance on the inside of the winch. shipped the item quickly and has great customer service. Thank you. I would definitely purchase this item again.

I really love this trailer winch strap. It gives me tremendous confidence when I am pulling my boat onto the trailer. So much better than rope.

I've got 5 trailers and eTrailer always seems to have what I need from brake components to general parts like winch straps. Not just one option but dozens. Great products. Great prices.

I am very pleased with the service I received and with my purchase. Looked all over the stores and couldn’t find just the boat buckle strap and hook which was all I needed. Every place I found locally wanted to sell me the wrench too.
Thank you all so much for being there! Ordering was easy and delivery was before promised!
Right on!

My straps arrived on time and look great. This is my second time purchasing from and will come back again!

Still in great shape after a year of use.

This winch strap was a perfect replacement. The bolt that came with this strap was much smaller than the original. I ended up using my old bolt! That’s the reason for a 4 star rating instead of 5.....

I was very happy with the winch strap. It should work well as a replacement strap on my boat trailer. I also felt that the shipping was reasonable for a small order.

etrailer is my go. Fast shipping, great prices and good communication every time. Don't mess around. Your boat will run faster and people will like you more with your etrailer products.

Been using these for years, fit like a glove.

  • Dimensions of Bolt that Comes with the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap IMF05848
I spoke with my contact at BoatBuckle and they informed me that the bolt that comes with the Winch Strap part # IMF05848 that you referenced measures 2-3/4 inches in length by 1/4 inch in diameter. We do not carry this bolt as a replacement part but you should have no problem finding a replacement locally. Be sure to use a lock nut that has Nylock in the nut so that it won't back off by itself.

  • Can BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap # IMF05848 be Used on 3,650 lb Boat
What's interesting also about straps that secure boats to trailers is that in the event you need the strap the boat would be pulling on the strap which would then only need the capacity to lift the weight of the trailer since the boat is attached to the trailer... So long story short the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap # IMF05848 that has a break strength of 4,000 lbs would easily work well on your boat that weighs 3,650 lbs.

  • Correct Replacement Strap for a Shelby Trailer Winch 5404
The BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch part # IMF05848 will be the perfect replacement strap option for a Shelby Trailer Winch 5404. It's a 2" wide strap rated at 1,333 lbs.

  • Should Strap for Winch Have 2 Hooks on it
It sounds like you are describing a tow strap like the Highland # H10175 as opposed to a winch strap like part # IMF05848 that you referenced. If this isn't the case would you be able to send a picture in of your setup or let me know what part number you have if we carry it? I am not quite sure how else having 2 hooks on one strap would work out.

  • Recommended Boat Winch and Strap For 19 Foot Bass Boat Skeeter 190
With a winch rated for 20 feet, a 25 foot strap may cause an issue. You may want to get a 20 foot strap like the BoatBuckle Boat Winch Strap with Hook and Safety Latch - Loop End - 2" x 20' - 4,000 lbs, # IMF05848. Because your winch chewed up your previous strap, it makes me think a better option may be to replace the winch and keep the 25 foot strap as something may be mechanically wrong with the winch. For that application, I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Brake Winch with TUFFPLATE...

  • Winch Recommendation for 2,850 lb Boat on Trailer
The Fulton High-Performance 2-Speed Trailer Winch # F142412 would easily pull your 2,850 lb boat in. Typically you only need a winch with 50 percent of the boat's weight as capacity so this winch having a 2,600 lb capacity means it would make very easy work of bringing in your boat. For a 2 inch strap to use with this winch you'd then want the part # IMF05848 and you'd be set.

  • Can Fulton Winch # F142201 Lift 300 lb Up 8 Foot Wall
Yes, the Fulton Single Speed winch part # F142201 that you referenced could be used to lift 300 lbs up an 8 foot wall. This is a strap style winch so you'd need to go with a strap as well with the part # IMF05848.

  • How to Determine Necessary Winch Strap Strength
The working load limit (WLL) of the winch strap is the determining factor. The weight of your Sea Ray cannot exceed the WLL of the strap. A 4,000 lb, 2" x 20' strap such as the BoatBuckle # IMF05848 has a WLL of 1,333 lbs. The BoatBuckle # IMF14211 is 2" x 25' and has a WLL of 2,667 lbs.

  • Does Winch Strap Normally Feed On Top or Bottom of Winch Drum
Winch straps normally feed out on the top side of the winch drum but we've seen them go either way so I would not say it's always that way. The part # FWS20HD0200 does not come with a bolt so you'd have to supply that or an easier option would be to go with a strap that has a bolt that comes with it like part # IMF05848.

  • Recommended Fulton 1500 lb Hand Winch for Boat Trailer
Since you currently have a 1500 lb capacity winch, I'd recommend staying with that capacity, as long as it's working well for you. Since you're using the winch to pull a boat up on a trailer, I'd recommend using a winch with a strap, rather than a steel cable which can corrode over time. You probably don't need a two speed winch or a brake winch because you're not hoisting anything up in the air. I'd go with the Fulton Single Speed 1500 lb capacity winch, part # F142201. This winch is...

  • Availability of UV Ray Sunlight Resistant Winch Strap and How to Prevent Premature Deterioration
The two different ratings you see are the WLL (working load limit) and the maximum load strength (break strength). WLL pertains to the capacity that you want to take into consideration under normal usage. The max break strength however, is the tested amount of force applied (in pounds) before the strap breaks. The WLL is one third of the max break strength. Depending on the manufacturer, some may only list one or the other, or both. The best way to protect the winch strap from the damaging...

  • How Does Strap Attach to Fulton Winch F142412
To attach a strap to the Fulton winch part # F142412 you have to use a bolt to secure it to the drum. The part # FWS20HD0200 does not come with a bolt so you'd have to supply that or an easier option would be to go with a strap that has a bolt that comes with it like part # IMF05848. In the review video I attached you can see how the strap installs on the winch.
