The unique ball-bearing locking system on this Lifelong hitch lock is supremely easy to use. When you pop the deadbolt onto the end of the pin, the integrated ball bearings engage the lock automatically.

This ball-bearing system also ensures that the structural integrity of the pin is maintained throughout. A typical padlock-style hitch lock has a significant taper at the end of the pin where the lock snaps into place. This taper weakens the pin, making it easier to break or cut. Because the ball bearings are responsible for engaging the lock on this Lifelong lock, no taper is needed. So, the pin diameter is the same along the entire length of the lock. The result is a hitch lock that is strong, durable and highly tamper resistant.
