Will B&W Or Fastway Ball Mount Be Better For 2024 GMC 2500 With MultiPro Tailgate?

I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 with the MultiPro tailgate. I’m looking at a B and W Tow and Stow, but I also saw the Fastway adjustable mounts. Which way would you go?

Good question, Aaron. Since your main detail is the GM MultiPro tailgate, I’d be careful here. The B&W Tow & Stow for 2-1/2" receivers # BWTS20066BMP is specifically listed as compatible with the GM MultiPro tailgate, so if tailgate clearance is your top concern, that B&W is the safer recommendation.

The comparable Fastway option would be the Fastway Flash Force # FA63FR if you have the 2-1/2" receiver and need the taller 7-1/2" drop/rise range. It also has the 2" and 2-5/16" balls, stows under the hitch, and is rated up to 18,000 lbs on the 2-5/16" ball. What we do not have, though, is a verified MultiPro-specific clearance statement for the Fastway.

So I'd go with the B&W # BWTS20066BMP if you need confirmed MultiPro tailgate compatibility. Go with the Fastway # FA63FR if you do not need that MultiPro-specific clearance and you’re mainly after a heavy-duty 2-1/2" adjustable 2-ball mount at a lower price point.

Aaron, are you trying to leave the mount installed while using the inner tailgate step?
