Padded, Rotating Holders

hr4000 holders

The Destination rack uses rotating frame holders to secure your bikes. The rubber padded holders rotate 360 degrees, and move up and down the center mast independently, to accommodate frames of various shapes and sizes. The holders have padded ratcheting straps to secure your bike by their frame.

Ratcheting Wheel Straps

hr4000 wheel trays

The wheel holders accommodate bicycles with wheelbases up to 48", and ratcheting wheel straps secure the wheels to the bike trays. The straps are padded and can be adjusted along the tray to ensure a perfect fit.

Folding Design

hr4000 folded

The rack folds up against the back of your vehicle when it's not in use. To raise the rack, just unscrew the knob and pull it out to lift the rack up. Re-insert the knob and tighten it to the rack.

Easy Installation with Locking Hitch Pin

locking hitch pin

The Destination rack easily installs in your hitch with the included anti-rattle hitch pin. Just slide the shank into your receiver, insert the hitch pin, and then tighten it down with the included tool. The pin also works as an anti-wobble device to eliminate sway and rattle in the receiver. The rack also includes a hitch lock to secure it to your vehicle and deter theft.

Sturdy, affordable and good ground clearance. Easily fits large size mountain bikes. Quick assembly and not that heavy at all. Folds up nicely. Only used it twice so far but very happy with this product.

That is awesome! Thanks for sending in the cool pictures, too!

Used it twice so far, it meets my expectations based on other reviews. It's easy to load the bikes (8 minutes or so for 4 bikes) and to move up or down. Glad I bought this "lighter" platform rack rather than the swagman because while it's not hard to get into the hitch, neither is it "light". Anything heavier would definitely be a pain. Hopefully straps etc are durable over the long haul. No problem getting 2 adult and 2 kids bikes on. Glad I went with a platform rack over a bar. My sister has the bar rack and says it's impossible to get 4 bikes on.

one year in, this still works great. straps arent worn, everything works as per my original review

by:

Ok so I I was going to buy a safari rack which ended up being about $100 more once you tacked on taxes and shipping from another website. This was on sale and had really good reviews. I bought this and have used it long enough to leave an honest review. It’s a really good rack, quality built, and If anything should break on the rack etrailer has all the replacement parts for very cheap prices. I have used this racks for shuttle duties and held 4 big enduros bikes several times. You don’t need to use the extra red straps sent with the rack for the bikes to be very secure. As someone stated before in the reviews long wheelbase bikes like size L or XL frame enduro or DH bikes might only be able to strap one wheel and frame attachment (the one wheel will be too long to get a good strap on), but all you need to do is drill a hole and move the clamp outboard about 2” and you’ll be good as gold. This rack is awesome and was a heck of a deal. Would recommend and buy again if I ever needed 2 racks?
Also not to mention (not that I really care), but the rack was packaged really nice and didn’t come all damaged from shipping, it was really nicely formed foam that was glued in place and not just some hack job some guy tossed in a box. 10/10 !

by:

This feels like a good quality rack. After assembling it, I tested it with 2 of our kids bikes and they clipped in perfectly. I am definitely looking forward to using this instead of tying them all down together on the camper backpack rack. Assembly was a breeze and I was even able to hang it on the garage wall to get it out of the way.

The Bike Rack is Great! Bikes are easy to lock down and the rack is very stable going down the road. We have carried it on the back of the vehicle and on my front hitch for my truck. The latest truck was a 2500 mile cross country trek. It keeps the bikes well separated and protected from damage and fits a wide range of bike sizes. The rack is a bit heavy and bulky, but I have found a good way to hang it on the wall of the garage. Now, if only it was bigger, I need a 6 bike carrier now! I would still highly recommend for secure carrying.

by:

I’ve ordered multiple products from etrailer and the service is always attentive and delivery is fast. This bike rack installed easily and holds our four bikes securely (we have two adult and two kids bikes).

by:

Well built. It works even with a spare tire mounted above the hitch. The rack works well even with bikes that have oddly shaped frames.

by:

Spent months debating what rack to get, really thinking I wanted a big name rack which could hold 2 bikes or expand to 4. So happy I bought this rack for under $[XX] as it will be perfect for my needs and saved me a ton of money. It is very sturdy but also light enough to easily be handled by one person. We have 3 hybrid type bikes and one 29er mountain bike and all four of us ride together only a handful of times per year. I wasn't too concerned about not being able to tilt the rack down with bikes on. A locking hitch pin is included, there is MINIMAL movement of the rack in the hitch, and I barely know the bikes are back there when driving (2020 Honda Pilot). My old hanging style rack would bounce, sway and always gave me an uneasy feeling. This is easy to load (4 bikes in 5-6 minutes) and there is ZERO bike to bike contact. Service from trailer is always top notch; unfortunately it too close to two months to get it but this is a supply chain issue and not an trailer issue (Hollywood Racks own website just says SOLD OUT).

by:

I worry sometimes when I buy one of the lowest cost options but I'm very pleased with this rack after first use. Feels very sturdy, was easy to put together, they included a hitch lock, and the ratchet straps feel like the hold my bikes on very securely. They ship with a couple extra ratchet straps which is a nice touch. The only feature that could be improved (and it's probably available on more premium racks) is a quicker way to raise and lower the rack. It's probably because of the price point but you have to unscrew a bold with a knob(very easy) and screw it back in the other position, then lock it with a hitch pin. I bet the more expensive units have a quick up/down latch.

The rack was back ordered and late. I don't fault etrailer, everything has been back ordered and late recently. etrailer, to their credit was very communicative throughout the delay.

by:

Very happy with this bike rack! Easy one person assembly and install and very secure on the hitch. We have 4 adult bikes, on a 2018 Subaru Outback, and they all fit easily into place with only slight adjustments to pedal placement. The 3 strap system for each bike means no movement of the bikes while driving and with the added red straps, we had no issues on highways at higher speeds.

by:

I bought this bike rack a year ago and it has held up amazingly well, transporting 4 bicycles several thousand miles over multiple trips. The quality of this bike rack is about 200 times better than anything from Thule or Yakima (I've used those and they never lasted for more than a few years). This bike rack is so solid and so well-made that I am sure that it will last 20 years or more -- definitely longer than my car will last.

Susan

3/2/2023

This bike rack is everything I could hope for. It will undoubtedly last much longer than the car itself because it is super durable and sturdy possibly over-engineered, actually, and has been through a lot of use in the past year on some very bumpy roads. As an FYI, I have it attached to my Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan via a hitch that U-Haul installed for me. I am short and weak, so I cant deal with rooftop bike racks. It has securely transported both adult and kid-sized 24 wheels mountain bikes.

by:

Outstanding product! I used to have a hanging rack. This platform rack is 10 times easier to load. The bikes don’t touch each other when loaded, and they remain solid throughout transportation. Can’t believe I put up with my other rack for several years.... I guess I needed to “get my money’s worth” out of it. We have two adult bikes and two kid’s bikes. With the design of this rack, it would easily handle 4 adult bikes, or 4 kid’s bikes for that matter. I will definitely be recommending this product to people I know.

by:

I have used this rack a lot in the past year and am happy with it. I have had zero issues. The price can not be beat. It holds 4 bikes easily for me but it helps to have a mix of sizes to offset the handlebars a little (I carry small and medium size bikes). I also found orienting the pedals up and down work better than front to back. Loading and unloading is quick once you get the hang of how to align the pedals. Where it differs from a rack 4X the price, this does strap around the frame so I have taped my bike frames to prevent paint damage. It bolts into the receiver, so it does take a wrench to install (it's not hard but an extra step). For the price this is a very solid rack and gets the job done.

by:

It's worked great for me love the ease of use.

@Patrick Happy to hear that! Thanks for the positive feedback!

by:

Very good trailer - well built, sturdy, and made of high quality materials. It fits a variety of sizes (by making adjustments according to the directions) from bikes for a 6 year old to adult, simultaneously. The only "knock" is that it does take 15 minutes or so to load 4 bikes and get everything properly secured. But there is peace of mind knowing there are several redundant systems working to keep bikes attached properly.

Product is working well and after using it a few times, Ive figured out ways to get it loaded better and faster. Practice makes perfect!

by:

I haven't traveled with this rack yet, but I have mounted it on the back of my RV and loaded 4 bikes on it. Seems well made and the bikes are held in nicely. I have a trip coming up and will update this review if anything changes.

by:

Solid multi bike rack solution. At a great price. Etrailer customer service were prompt in answering questions. Thread on hitch bolt eliminated rack rattling. Great buying experience.

by:

I have owned this rack for over a year now and I can truly say that it’s been excellent. It’s lightweight and it fits our 4 bikes perfectly.

by:

Easy (really easy) installation of the rack on the hitch and very easy installations of my four bikes on the rack. No rattle, no bike movement -> No complain at all!!!

Excellent product! Would buy again!

One year later, still in love with this bike rack. Still feel solid with no bike movement or rattle. I can drive without any worries that something is gonna happen with the bikes.

by:

I really like this rack! It is solid as a rock, and a great improvement over the hanging-style rack I was using. With that style, you really have to get creative fitting different frames on, and the swinging of the bikes leads to little annoying rubbing rashes on your bike paint.

This platform style is much easier to load, and the bikes are much more securely held. The only advantage I can see to having a more expensive (than this Hollywood model) platform style rack is that you might prefer their mechanism for securing your bikes (like only holding them by the wheels, for example), but for the price, this one can't be beat. The straps that hold our bikes work really well, and don't leave any kind of marks on the bike frames. We ride both 29er mountain bikes and 700c road bikes, and they both fit perfectly. Pair this rack with a hitch lock and a long cable lock, and you'll rest easy on a long trip.

My only gripe might be that it is a bit heavy to put on the trailer hitch, but that's probably more a function of my lack of upper arm strength. Aside from that, love it!

Joel H.

4/10/2023

Edit after a year—the rack is still working great for us used it just yesterday for a first-of-the-season ride. No issues whatever. Love it!

by:

Due to COVID, we have used this rack EXTENSIVELY! We needed a way to mentally reset and spend time together as a family, and exploring the trails of the MSP area was a great way to do just that. The rack secured our bikes very well, and there isn't a lot of movement when they are loaded which minimizes "chafing". Because we are loading 4 different kinds of bikes, it took us a little bit of experimentation to figure out what the best order was when loading our bikes. I have always used Saris brand bike racks because of their excellent quality. I was again going to go with Saris (Freedom Series) but saw an opportunity to save $250 and I have not been disappointed at all.

Blaine

5/3/2023

As I mentioned in my original comment, we use the rack A LOT! We did run into a problem last summer however. The nut that the bolt threads into on the hitch receiver tube broke off. It made it impossible to remove the rack off of my truck without cutting the head of the bolt off because it would just spin inside the hitch. I called the service line at Hollywood Rack and told them of the problem. They had a new, complete tube to me within days all covered under warranty, and we were able to ride that weekend. I cant say enough good things about the products and company as a whole. Thanks so much!!

by:

Excellent rack! Have used it frequently for the past year and it's shows little sign of wear. Usually carry 2 bikes, but have carried 4 on occasion, even half way across the country. Very easy to put bikes on and off. Highly recommend.
Service from etrailer.com was also excellent. Everything arrived sooner than expected and the online videos for installation were a great help. Highly recommend the company in addition to the Hollywood rack.

Larry A.

4/23/2023

The rack continues to be an excellent choice. Very little sign of wear and works as well as when it was new. Highly recommend.

by:

Light, easy to install. Not as easy to maneuver as more expensive products but this is a very worthy, well built, economical bike rack!

Miranda

7/16/2023

Fantastic! Easy to use, lightweight and still is excellent condition!

by:

I did not read were I could not use this on electric bikes and a smaller hitch but my fault I guess (MOST SUV HAVE 1 1/4 HITCHS)

by:

After going back and fourth on what rack to choose I finally settled with the destination rack. It seemed like there was more people with buyers remorse on the higher end units. I almost pulled the trigger on the Saris superclamp I like that it's made in Wisconsin and also its low profile design. I read one to many bad reviews on wheel holders breaking. My rack arrived very quickly. Setup was painless and required minimal time. Two of the knobs for straps were broken, not sure how this happened. A quick email to etrailer and I was back in business repair parts were sent out strait away with no fuss. The rack is really nice, seems plenty sturdy and is lightweight at the same time. I found a location in my garage I was able to mount it on the wall. Overall etrailer and Hollywood racks treated me right and I recommend them.

While there isn't bike rack information specifically for a 2021 Toyota Sienna, I can still give you a good recommendation. If you're Sienna has a 2" Class III hitch, then I recommend the Hollywood Racks Destination, part # HR4000. It's a platform rack that secures bikes by the frame.
