So there's a couple things to go over here, starting with the hitch for your 2014 Volkswagen Golf Wagon. This vehicle only has a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver available, the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11474.

And with a Class I hitch, you can't use a 4-bike rack, they are limited to 2-bike racks only due to the stress and torque put on the hitch and frame. That means you can use the Destination, but not the 4-bike # HR4000; the one you would need that is compatible with a Class I hitch is the 2-bike version:

This rack does have excellent ground clearance with a shank that rises 9 inches, which is among the highest possible clearances, making it a fantastic choice for a vehicle like your Golf Wagon which is a bit low to the ground.

I know you were looking to carry 4 bikes, and that is still possible, but unfortunately not with a hitch-mounted carrier on your Golf Wagon. What you would need to do is add the hitch and Destination along with a roof rack and roof-mounted carriers. Since this is a lot of parts, I'll give you the most budget-friendly options that will work, and in order to mount a roof rack on your Golf Wagon, it would need to have raised side rails; if so, here is what you can use:
