Question:
I noticed that you do not recommend hitch bike racks for motor homes. What do you recommend if not a hitch bike rack? thank you

We actually do have bike racks that are compatible with motorhomes, travel trailers, and RV's. I have attached a link to our bike racks that are specifically made to be used on the back of a motorhome.
If you are looking for a 2-bike carrier then I would use Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches # S64650. This is built to withstand the excess bouncing that occurs on the back of a motorhome hitch receiver. It has a weight capacity of 35lbs per bike and fits bikes with tires up to 3.5" wide. It uses padded hooks to ratchet down onto the bike frame, securing it to the carrier. It works with many different styles of bikes, but if you plan to haul a women's, children's, or full-suspension bike then you may end up needing to use Adapter Bar # 64005. This adapter bar will be sure to tightly secure any bike to the carrier despite an oddly-shaped frame design that a lot of step-thru or full-suspension bikes have.
If you would like a 4-bike carrier then I recommend the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HR4000 which will fit a 2" receiver on the back of a motorhome. This also has a weigh capacity of 35lbs per bike and fits bike tires up to 3"' wide. Unlike the Swagman 2-bike rack mentioned above, this bike rack secures the bike with a rubber strap that wraps around the bike frame. The entire rack can be folded up when not in use, saving space at the rear of the motorhome to make parking easier.
If you do not have a trailer hitch on the back of your motorhome then you can use Universal Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RV # 13703. This is adjustable and can fit frame width of 22" to 72". Max tongue weight is 350lbs and max towing weight is 3,500lbs. This can be bolted-on or welded-on. Or you could use a bumper-mounted hitch like Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 as long as your rear bumper is 4" by 4". Max tongue weight is 350lbs and max towing weight is 3,500lbs.
I have attached demonstration videos for these bike racks and the two trailer hitch receivers.
