Bike Frame Adapter Bar

Swagman Deluxe Adapter Bar Easy InstallationSwagman Deluxe Adapter Bar Easy Installation

This adapter bar allows you to carry a bike with a sloping top tube or step-through frame on your bike rack. It fits between the seat post and handlebar stem post of your bike to ensure level transport on your hanging-style bike rack. It also creates a top tube so you can carry your bike on a frame-mount platform-style rack. The spring-loaded bar telescopes to fit multiple frame sizes, and it can be used with no-rise bike stems.

Easy Installation

Swagman Deluxe Adapter Bar Vinyl Collars

To install the adapter bar simply open the hooks with the integrated release buttons, wrap one hook around your handlebar stem post and the other around your seat post, and close the hooks. The hooks open outward - parallel with the bar - to help you avoid interference from the seat and handlebars during installation. The bar has red "Up" indicators on each end to help prevent incorrect installation. The hooks have a vinyl coating that won't scratch or scuff your bikes' paint.

  • Do I Need a Bike Frame Adapter Bar when Using the RV Rider with Step-Thru Electric Bikes?
I have a great solution for you. Even though the independently-adjusting cradles on the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR eliminate the need of a bike frame adapter bar, the OnRamp is not safe to use on the back of a flat-towed vehicle. I I confirmed with the engineers at Yakima that the OnRamp cannot withstand the extra torque/forces exerted on the rack during transport on your 2019 Jeep Wrangler. Even if the OnRamp was approved, the 5-inch distance between the center of the pinhole and the closest...

  • Best 2 Bike Carrier for a Jayco 5th Wheel Trailer
For starters, bike racks used on the back of a 5th wheel trailer must be rated for this use as they will experience more stress in comparison to a bike rack used on the back of a vehicle. This has to do with the movement associated with the carrier being located father away from the rear axle. The best platform style bike rack we have for a 5th wheel trailer is the Swagman E-spec 2-Bike Platform Rack part # S94FR. The Escapee was actually designed specifically for use on the back of a...

I attached a link to a demo video for the Thule Passage 2 # TH910XT being installed on a hatchback Toyota Prius C for you to check out. If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes...

  • Best Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack Comparison Thule Vs Yakima
The Thule Spare Me Bike rack part # TH963PRO and the Yakima Spare Tire part # Y02599 both do come with locks to secure the rack to your spare tire and cable locks to secure the bikes to the carrier. The biggest difference between the two and is only an advantage for some people is that the Yakima can fit on spare tires that are up to 12.5 inches wide whereas the Thule can only fit tires that are up to 10 inches wide. Aside from that the only actual feature that the Yakima has that the Thule...

  • Recommended 2 Bike Rack For 2013 Honda Fit Sport Where Trunk Mounted Racks Wont Fit
I reached out to my contact at Thule and they confirmed they do not have any fits for your 2013 Honda Fit Sport Model. They said the reason is the factory spoiler is not strong enough to support the straps. All of our manufacturers exclude the Sport model for this reason. My recommendation is to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11064 and then use the Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Rack # TH92BJ which is a confirmed fit along with the support strap...

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75676 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Lexus RX 450h. We do not have any videos of the RX450h with that particular hitch receiver, but I have added the video of the installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13143 which is also a fit to assist.

  • Adapter for low Step-Through Frame E-Bike to fit Bike Rack
The perfect solution for you to carry your EVELO Luna with the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 2-Bike Carrier for Electric Bicycles # HLY84FR would be to use an adapter bar which attaches between your seat post and handlebar stem to create a horizontal mounting point. You can see exactly what it does in the photo I've attached for you. The bar you want is going to depend on the length between your seat post and handlebar stem; the Swagman Deluxe # 64005 is adjustable from 24 3/8" to 33...

  • What Bike Rack do You Recommend for Transporting an E-Bike on a Truck and Travel Trailer?
I have a solution for you. Any time you use any adapter like the MaxxTow Hitch Adapter # MT70032, you reduce the overall weight capacity of the hitch by 50%. With that being said, that will reduce your trailer's hitch to only 65 pounds of available tongue weight. Since the OnRamp # Y36FR already weighs 39.5 pounds, that leaves only 25.5 pounds of available tongue weight on the rack. This is extremely dangerous. We unfortunately do not recommend going this route even if you plan on further...

  • How do I Transport a Honda Grom, a Scooter, and 2 Bikes on My Class C Motorhome?
As far as mounting your Honda Grom and your scooter to your 2019 Winnebago 22R motorhome, we unfortunately do not have a traditional bike rack that will work for the weight of those bikes. However, the best route is to use the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long # UF48-979033. The Ultra-Fab is RV-approved and will fit motorcycles/scooters up to 500 pounds. In addition, the carrier comes with an included ramp that can be positioned on either end to make for...

The Thule Helium Aero Pro 3-Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting - Aluminum # TH9043PRO is the only Thule 3 bike carrier that is rated as compatible with Class I trailer hitch receivers, however the manufacturer will limit the rack to two bikes on a Class I trailer hitch. • Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Compatible with 2016 Volvo XC90 Spoiler
On your 2016 Volvo XC90 if you have a roof rack you can use the Hollywood Racks Over-The-Top Trunk Bike Rack # HRF2 or # HRF2-3. I confirmed this with the manufacturer. We don't list the fit in our guide because it requires the rails for a fit. If you don't have a roof side rails then you will need to add a roof rack to your flush mounted rails to use that rack. The # RRVA126B-2 and # RRSX040 are my recommendation. If you have the raised factory side rails then you don't need to add...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2001 Ford Sport Trac Automatic Behind a Winnebago Adventurer
We have everything you need to flat tow your 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac behind your Winnebago Adventurer, but before attempting to tow I strongly recommend checking your owners manual before proceeding. I recommend checking your owner's manual to make sure you are within the manufacturer's specifications. For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75908. • Recommended Trunk Mount Bike Rack for 2001 Honda Accord Coupe with Spoiler
Since you don't want a hitch I assume you aren't interested in a roof rack for the same reason so that leaves you with a trunk mount rack. A great trunk mount I like to recommend is the Saris Bones, part # SA805BL. This is a high quality, easy to install rack that's more affordable than some of the others. The arched design is great for spoilers and it's mostly made of plastic making it a lot less susceptible to rust and corrosion. It also has anti-sway cradles. The only thing I don't...

The Thule OutWay 3-bike # TH56BV would be what I would recommend for your 2014 Infiniti QX60. It is a confirmed fit and the nicest rack around. What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only 2 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks.
