Could Wheel Trays of Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack be Removed

Question:
I understand this question has been asked but I do not understand the response. There are 2 sections that attach on the base. If I only want to attach one of the segments, is that possible? I do not see a reason why not unless some how that reduces the structural integrity, although it is hard to see why that would be the case. Thank you!

If you wanted to remove some of the wheel trays of the Hollywood Racks Destination bike rack part # HR4000 you certainly could as like you said they are all bolted on independently.
