Perfect rack! Easy to put together, bikes are easy to load up. I own a bike tour company and get compliments from my guests all the time about this rack. Getting ready to order another one next month.

- Y02485

I love that this rack bolts into our hitch. Our previous 4 bike rack only had a hitch pin and it always looked so wabbly. It's a little hard to get the bikes to perfectly fit on the rack using the front forks, but the straps hold them nice and tight.

- Y02485

I highly recommend the Hangover! I use this rack multiple times weekly and have never had an issue. Very sturdy, the finish is very dependable as I've owned for a year and have zero rust anywhere, even the moving parts.

- Y02485

Love this bike rack. Great design and quality built. We use it all the time. Really easy to use and quick to load/unload the bikes. Also, love the tilt feature. Shipping was quick. Arrived on time without any issues. Definitely recommend.

- Y02485

Love it. Works great for family of 6

- Y02485

We have four kids so I have been looking for a solid 6 bike rack for a little. Came across this while on the site looking for something else and couldn’t pass it up. My son helped me put it together, nice and easy to assemble. Both adult and the kids mountain bikes fit and secure. Hoping to get a lot of use on camping trips this summer.

- Y02485

This is the first bike rack we have ever owned that was able to easily carry six bikes. And each is super easy to load and unload. If you are transporting more than four bikes this is the rack to use.

- Y02485

Easy to install. Very functional and d urable.

Review from a similar HangOver in Hitch Bike Racks

Our first time using it was on a 1500 mile trip. Had to stop 7 times in the first hour because one of the bikes kept falling off the bracket. Followed instructions to the T. Total nightmare until we improvised the placement on the bracket and strapped it to the bracket, itself. After that, no issues.

Ask the Experts about this Yakima Hitch Bike Racks

  • Bike Rack and Roof Rack Bike Carrier To Carry 6 Bikes On Long Family Roadtrip
The quality of Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack for Mountain Bikes part # Y02485 is solid, so I do not foresee any issues with taking the Yakima on a 15 to 17 hour road trip. The rack holds the bikes steady and high enough off the ground you won't need to worry about ground clearance with the Yukon. However if you have kids bikes, I do not recommend the HangOver for a family trip, it doesn't do well holding kids and adult bikes at the same time. According to Yakima all of the bikes need to be...

  • Is the Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack RV Approved?
When using a bike rack on a Motor home we run into the issue of the distance being to great from the rear wheel to the receiver tube opening. Typically this is a lot further distance than that on a passenger vehicle and subjects the rack to a lot more "force" when going over different obstacles. Therefore the options for use on motor homes is limited. In your situation the Curt Premium 5 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches - Tilting part # C18065 and the Hollywood Racks Road Runner 5 Bike Carrier...

  • Can I Use The Yakima Hangover On My Travel Trailer With Non Front Fork Suspension Bikes?
The Yakima HangOver 6 # Y02485 is only compatible with fork suspension bikes due to how the top cradle is designed. You place one fork in between the curved and straight coated stud. If you didn't have forks on your bikes they wouldn't be able to hang properly thus making the rack unusable. It also will not work with travel trailers due to the amount of sway that will happen since it's so far back from the axle of the trailer and the drive axle. With 6 bikes and the heavy carrier on the...

  • Availability of Bike Rack for 6 Bikes on Truck, SUV, and Camper
The only bike rack on the market that is able to handle up to 6 bikes is the Yakima HangOver # Y02485. This is designed for your standard mountain bike and comes with a 2" hitch receiver. It can accommodate up to 37.5 lb bikes and this rack weighs in at 76 lbs. Yakima has deemed that this is compatible with passenger vehicles, but they have noted that if you use this on a towed trailer or motorhome then the warranty will be voided. This is due to the extra movement that happens at the...

  • Does the Yakima HangOver Work with Fat Tire Bikes?
Yes! The ratcheting strap on the Yakima HangOver 6 # Y02485 that secures the lower tires can fit fat tire bikes with wheel widths of up to 4.8 inches. Some fat tires do come in 5" widths though, so just make sure that's not the case with your son's bike and you're good to go. One thing to note is that the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 works with the Yakima Hangover 4 # Y02484 but not the 6-bike version.

  • How To Carry Six Bikes On the Back Of a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas With Extra Cargo Space
I do have an option for you but there would not be a good way to carry six bikes on the back of the vehicle alongside a cargo carrier. The only bike rack we offer that can carry six bikes is the Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack part # Y02485 and you cannot use any sort of adapter with this nor would the hitch be able to handle all of this weight most likely. The best option you have would be to use the above on the rear of the vehicle with a trailer hitch like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver...

  • Can Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack Be Used for Kids Bikes
I reached out to my contact at Yakima and she did say that the HangOver 6 Bike Rack # Y02485 is not going to be a good option to secure kids bikes. Since the carrier is a wheel-mount style and the cradles cannot be individually adjusted, all 6 bikes really need to be pretty similar in size. As you mentioned, the rack also isn't compatible with bikes that don't have the needed suspension forks for the cradle strap to attach to. This is the only 6 bike rack we have available but we do...

  • Will the Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack Work With Kids Bikes
The Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack part # Y02485 won't work with kids bikes. That said, there isn't really another six bike rack you can use that will carry kid's bikes so you'll have to carry the kid's bikes on the roof with the Yakima FrontLoader Wheel Mount Bike Carrier part # Y02103 for example. If you can provide the specifics of the vehicle and roof type I'd be happy to provide options for this. I have however attached a list of roof mounted bikes racks below.

  • Recommended 6-Bike Carrier For Trek Verve 2 Women's Hybrid Bike
I have a solution for you, but the Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack for Mountain Bikes # Y02485 is specifically for mountain bikes that have suspension forks, and it does not look like your Trek Verve 2 has the necessary suspension forks. I would look into the Hollywood Racks Road Runner 5 Bike Carrier # HR520 which is a 5 bike carrier that secures the bikes by the frame. On oddly-shaped bike frames like your Trek Verve 2 Women's bike you will want to use Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO; this will be...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for Forest River No Boundries Travel Trailer
For your Forest River No Boundries 19.3 NoBo, I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 66" Wide # C13704. This hitch receiver is rated for tongue weights up to 500 lbs. I can't confirm your bike rack is rated for the back of your travel trailer as many manufacturers do not confirm bike racks for travel trailer use due to the excessive sway and bounce that cause additional strain on a bike rack. • Recommended Bike Rack To Carry Kid and Adult Bikes With 2020 Ram 2500 W/ 2-1/2" Receiver
I would be happy to help you get a bike rack installed on your 2020 Ram 2500 with RAMBOX, and you are correct that it should have a 2-1/2" receiver. You can confirm this by measuring the inside opening of the hitch. The Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack for Mountain Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting # Y02485 can be used by adding the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender - 2-1/2" to 2" Trailer Hitch - 7" Long # HR26. • Is There a 2 Bike Extension for the Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack?
The Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging # Y02465 does not allow for additional bikes. To use that bike rack with women's or alternative bike frames you will need to use a bike adapter bar like # 64005. This will allow more level transport and the water cage won't be an issue. To add 2 bikes you would need to use a roof rack and roof mounted bike carrier like # Y02114 for the 2 other bikes. The Yakima HangOver 6 Bike Rack for Mountain Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting #...

  • 5-Bike Rack Recommendation for Carrying Mountain Bikes
We have quite a few solid 5-bike rack options but like you are suspecting they do get a little more interesting to load. For a traditional hanging style bike rack the Thule Apex part # TH9026XT would be a really solid rack that can tilt, is locking and has anti-sway cradles to prevent contact. Since sometimes Treks can have unique frame styles a bike frame adapter bar like part # UB01 would be a great choice for bikes without a horizontal top tube. Now for a different type of bike rack...

I am not sure what year the chassis is but if it's anywhere between 1991-2007 then you can use the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 33055 which is a fit for a E-450 Cutaway Chassis. Then for the rear, you wouldn't have any direct bolt-on options but the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch part # 41990-16 could be welded-on or bolted once drilled.
