Average Customer Rating:  4.8 out of 5 stars   (89 Customer Reviews)

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

This hitch was exactly what was needed for my landscaping customer's small dump body truck. It replaced the original custom hitch with only minor modifications to accommodate the cargo body. I have done considerable work for this customer over many years. No issues reported with this job. All good!! Thanks to Curt and etrailer for great products and stellar service. —

The hitch eeceiver I bought is perfect for my RV. What I was even more impressed with was the updates etrailer.com sent as my order processed and shipped. Each step of the way I was updated by employees who accompanied the update with their photos. Very personalized experience. Thank you etrailers.com!

Curt Class V receiver received complete and as advertised. Now, to get it installed by welder/ installer on '03 Newmar Dutch Star.

by:

Package arrived on time-there was a good deal of dust in the package but that doesn’t hurt anything-the hitch and pieces are heavy duty.

by:

Worked great for my custom application. Placed behind my custom bumper as a hidden hitch.

by:

Well made hitch, very adjustable, and easy to install. No problems towing my 30' cabin cruiser with my new-to-me Semi-tractor. Exactly what I was looking for.

by:

Excellent product, just what I needed for a modified flatbed installation

by:

Solid and sturdy

by:

very fast service , and talked to a representative that pointed me to what i needed thanks

by:

The product was as described and worked fine.

It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

by:

It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

  • Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver Rated For 15,000LBS That Will Fit a Frame With Mounting Holes 31.75
I recommend the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch # 15901 as I cannot locate a custom fit receiver with those measurements. This receiver will fit frame widths from 18" to 43.88" and has the maximum trailer weight rating of 15,000lbs and maximum tongue weight of 1,500lbs.

  • Availability of a Trailer Hitch for a 1956 Chevrolet 210 Townsman Station Wagon
None of our hitch suppliers offers a bolt-on custom-fit trailer hitch receiver of any size for your (awesome!) 1956 Chevy 210 Townsman Station Wagon. Your one option is a universal-fit RV-type hitch, such as the Curt # 13703. Please keep in mind that you will be on your own in terms of determining proper fit. Also, since this will be an untested application your actual tongue weight and towing capacities will be unknown. The vehicle itself may have different capacities than the hitch....

  • Trailer Hitch Option For Shuttle 2011 Chevy Express Shuttle Bus
For a shuttle bus like your 2011 Chevy Express, you'll need a universal hitch that will be welded onto your frame. You will want to measure your frame though, as it will need to be no longer than 44 inches from outside to outside. So long as you have that, you can use one of the following, depending on how tall you need the brackets to be: - 3" Drop: Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch # 15901 - 9" Drop: Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch # C47CR

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2022 Forest River Georgetown 31L5
I have a hitch that will work great for your Forest River Georgetown but the Curt item # C14082 will not fit. It's designed for a bunch of Ford and GM trucks built from 1963-1997. For your motorhome on a 2021 Ford F53 chassis, I recommend the Curt Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 3" Drop item # 15901. There are no custom fit hitches for your motorhome so you will need to use a universal one. This will be a solid upgrade! The Curt item # 15901 has adjustable...

No but you can use a universal hitch as there are no custom fits. For a Class V hitch that you can bolt or weld onto your frame that is 42 inches from outside to outside you can use one from Draw-Tite: - Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07 Or for a weld-on only you can use the Class V Universal Weld-on Receiver Hitch and Brackets with 3" Drop # 15901.

  • Will The Draw-Tite Trailer Frame Hitch Receiver Fit A 1974 Chevy K5 Blazer With A Gas Tank Shield
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver 75129 should fit with any OEM parts but just to be used I went out to the warehouse and measured the hitch. From the back of the crossmember tube to the center of the first bolt hole is 1". The distance between the inside of both mounting ears is 30-1/4". This hitch should sit directly under your frame rails so you can use that 1" measurement to see if the tube will run into interference with your gas tank shield. If this doesn't work then...

I may have a solution for you, however we do not currently offer any custom-fit trailer hitches for the 2001 Ford F-53 Chassis on your motorhome. Our available selection of trailer hitches designed for RVs and motorhomes are all Class III hitches. In order to upgrade, I recommend looking at a Universal Weld-On Heavy Duty Hitch like the Curt # 15901. This is a Class V trailer hitch that can fit frames from 18 inches up to almost 44 inches using the adjustable side brackets. This will offer...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2003 Coachmen Mirada on a Ford Chassis
We may have a trailer hitch that will work with your 2003 Coachmen Mirada, however the Curt Custom Fit Class V Trailer Hitch, # C14048, that you referenced will not fit Class A motor homes. Before installing a Class V trailer hitch on your Mirada, I recommend checking your owners manual or with an RV dealer to determine the towing capacity of your motor home. Most motor homes do not have high towing capacities, so a Class V hitch may be overkill. Our Class V trailer hitches are universal...

Since this is universal you'll basically be comparing this hitch to the available room on your vehicle and making sure everything matches up on your end. I'm attaching a dimensional photo of this Curt hitch for you to reference and use for checking the fitment.

  • Trailer Hitch for Ambulance on 2000 Ford E450 Cutaway Van Chassis
We don't offer a custom hitch for the 2000 E450 Cutaway, because the configuration of the back bumper in regards to the frame members is different than the cargo van. You'll need a weld-on universal hitch, like part # 15901. The hitch has a 3 inch drop, which means that in order for it to fit on your ambulance, the vertical distance between the the underside of the frame member and the bottom of the bumper needs to be less than 3 inches, or the bumper will be in the way of the receiver...
