Question:

I am looking for a hitch receiver to fit a 2013 Ford F-53 chasis. My tow vehicle weighs 4950 lbs. before towing equipment is installed Im guessing around 100 lbs. for the towing equipment . What would you recommend. Thanks,

I do have a solution for you, however we do not currently offer a custom-fit trailer hitch for the 2013 Ford F-53 Chassis on your RV.

I recommend looking at the Curt Class V Universal Weld-On Receiver Hitch # 15901. This hitch features adjustable side brackets that can slide along the hitch body to match exactly the width of your vehicle frame. The brackets fit frames from 18 inches to to almost 44 inches. This has a gross towing weight of 15,000 pounds, although you will need to check the capacity of your motorhome as this will be the limiting factor.

The Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13701 may also work if you are able to stay under its 5,000 pound towing capacity. This will weld onto frames between 18 and 51 inches.

I recommend having a certified professional perform the required welding for the installation of these hitches.
