  • Do You Have a 1 1/4" Receiver Hitch for My 2025 Hyundai Kona so I can Use My Bike Rack?
Hello Tim, I take it you already have the bike rack which is why you are looking for the 1 1/4" receiver. We only have the 2" receiver for the 2024 Hyundai Kona but that's ok because we can make it work. If your Kona is the Electric, N Line, and N models you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C43RV. If your Kona is NOT the Electric, N Line, and N models you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C39RV or the Draw-tite one you were looking...

  • Ways To Adapt The Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack To Fit A 2" Hitch
Good question! The standard way of adapting the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Y67VR to a 2" hitch would be to use something like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63YR and the Pro Series Lock-Tite Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" Hitches # PS63100 to both lock it and keep it from rattling. What I would do though, is use the Replacement 2" Shank Adapter # 8880612. This technically isn't designed for use with the StageTwo,...

  • Availability of 2" Shank Without Backbone Assembly for Thule T2 Bike Rack
Hi Joe; I'm sorry to say that the only way to convert your Thule T2 Classic to the 2" shank is with the # 753-3581. The 2" shank itself is not available from Thule without the backbone. The only other option is to use a hitch reducer like # e63YR.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2024 Subaru Outback Touring XT
Curtis, it does look like the only hitches offered for a 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon like # DT73RR are going to be class III hitches which are going to have 2" receivers. If it's an accessory you're trying to use that only works with a 1 1/4" hitch then you could just use the Trailer Hitch Reducer # e63YR and you'd be all set.

  • 2 inch Hitch Adapter to Use Thule Expressway in 2 inch Hitch
Hey Michael, I checked with Thule and they don't make a 2 inch hitch adapter for your Expressway due to the age of the rack. So what you would need is a sleeve reducer like the part # e63YR. For an anti rattle hitch lock that you could use with the adapter part # 63232.

  • Is there a 1-1/4" Hitch for a 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid?
Allow me to clear up the confusion Bill. I just checked with Draw-Tite and their item # 36600 will not fit the Hybrid model of the 2023 Kia Niro. Just the standard model. For your 2023 Kia Niro Hybrid there are no class I hitches with a 1-1/4" receiver. You'll need to go with the class III 2" Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # DT79YR. Usually when people request a 1-1/4" receiver over an existing 2" option they have a bike rack already. With this hitch installed you can use the Trailer...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander ES
Sorry but no! The only hitch available for the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander ES is the 2" Curt item # C87WR you were looking at. If you are wanting to use 1-1/4" accessories with this hitch all you will need is the Trailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver item # e63YR. This inserts inside the 2" receiver and allows you to mount 1-1/4" accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers. It is not an adapter so you will not lose any tongue weight capacity or violate your accessories...

  • Will Trailer Hitch From 2006 Hyundai Tucson Also Fit 2023 Tucson?
Hello Joan, thanks for getting in touch. The hitch for the 2006 Hyundai Tucson, the Curt # C12126, will fit the 2005-2009 Tucson models. So it will not transfer over to the 2023, and you will need a new hitch. For that I recommend the Curt # C94WR. This has a 2" receiver, and this is the only receiver size available for the 2023 Tucson. If need be, you can reduce the receiver down to a 1-1/4" using part # e63YR. What do you plan to use the hitch for? Is it for a bike rack, or are you...

  • Trailer Hitch Needed For A 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet
Hey Jim, There unfortunately isn't a custom-fit trailer hitch available for your 1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet so you'd have to get in touch with a local fabricator shop and have them build you one using a receiver tube like the # 337RT255808. They'll need to determine the drop needed from the frame to clear the rear fascia and the build the crosstube to fit around the exhaust and any other components under the vehicle. The # 337RT255808 is just an example, if you need a different length...

  • What Bike Rack do I Need for My Step-Thru e-Bike and Carbon Fiber Bikes on Back of Travel Trailer?
Hello Alan, I’m happy to help you find the right bike rack to suit your needs. For your two step-thru e-bikes on the back of a travel trailer, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S94FR. This rack is rated for travel trailers, supports up to 70 pounds per bike, and, as you can see from the attached picture, it will work well for your step-thru bikes. There aren’t many bike racks rated for the back of a travel trailer. Unfortunately,...

  • Availability of 2" to 1-1/4" Reducer With Built-In Rise for Bike Rack
Hi LDJ; we have reducers like the # e63YR but none with a built in rise. What you can do is pair it with Gen-Y stacked receivers like the # 325-GH-303 with a 5" rise/drop or # 325-GH-304 with a 7-1/2" rise/drop. The design prevents any reduction in hitch capacity like other adapters and will get you the extra clearance. The Gen-Y is pretty solid but I recommend using an anti-rattle like # GY88XR to help reduce unwanted movement as you add more parts to your bike rack setup.

  • Is There 1-1/4 inch Hitch Solution for 2023 Subaru Outback for Bike Rack
Hey Adam, so the only hitch size we have for your 2023 Subaru Outback Wagon is a 2 inch like the Draw Tite part # DT94YR but we can still help. What you'd want is the Draw Tite hitch and then a hitch reducer like the part # e63YR and you'd be set.

  • Is There a T2 Classic Bike Rack For a 2017 Nissan Rogue With a 2" Receiver?
The reason you only find the Thule T2 Classic Bike Rack # TH9045 in the 1-1/4" size is because it is the only T2 classic we still carry. You would need to look at a Thule T2 Pro X Bike Rack # TH83GC for a 2" Receiver # e98846 on your 2017 Nissan Rogue. Or you could use a Reducer # e63YR.

  • Is There A 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Available For A 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid?
Hi Neils! It looks like only 2" hitches are available for your 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, like the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e38KR. Do you already have a bike rack that has a 1-1/4" shank? This hitch can absolutely handle the weight, but you will also need to grab the etrailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63YR if your bike rack did not come with a 2" adapter or it has been misplaced. This one will not...

  • Is There A Class II Trailer Hitch Confirmed To Fit A 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Model
Hi Alan, The Class II hitches available for a 2023 Honda CR-V unfortunately aren't a fit for hybrid models but we do have a Class III hitch # C13397 that has been confirmed to fit. If you have an accessory that requires a 1-1/4" receiver tube then you can just use a reducer # e63YR. If you plan on towing a trailer at some point you'll also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118741 to transfer your light signals.

  • Need Hitch Reducer Form 2" To 1-1/4"
Hello Jack, we have just the thing! Take a look at the Trailer Hitch Reducer part # e63YR. This will adapt your 2" hitch down to a 1-1/4" receiver. Just please note, this adapter cannot be used for towing applications. It can only be used for hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier. Feel free to reach out if you need anything else.

  • How Far Inside the Trailer Hitch Reducer e63YR is the Accessory Hitch Pin Hole?
Hey Dan. The accessory pin hole on the Trailer Hitch Reducer item # e63YR is 1-5/8" from the end of the receiver. the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 item # TH23JV requires a minimum pin hole depth of 1-1/2" so this will work perfectly. If you have any additional questions, go ahead and click on the box that says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

  • When Will Curt Release A Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2024/2025 Chevy Trax
Hey Walter, There still is no hard date for when Curt will release the Class I trailer hitch for the 2024/2025 models of the Chevy Trax. They have released a Class 3" trailer hitch receiver # C75VV that is confirmed to fit 24/25 year models though. This would provide you with more capability to haul accessories since a 2" shank is the most common sizing. For accessories that require a 1-1/4" receiver tube you can use a reducer # e63YR.

  • Are there 1-1/4" Hitches for a 2021 Cadillac XT5?
Hey Gregg. The only hitches available for the 2021 Cadillac XT5 are 2" ones like our etrailer item # e62AR. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that has a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight. What specific make and model bike rack do you have? Most of the ones that fit a 1-1/4" hitch won't let you use an adapter like the MaxxTow item # MT70033. You'll want to use a reducer sleeve like item # e63YR. This simply slides into the 2" receiver and makes it smaller so a 1-1/4" accessory will...

  • Can Draw-Tite Class III Hitch for 2017 Ford Escape Use 1-1/4" Bike Rack
Hey Terri, great question! Both options are actually possible for your 2017 Ford Escape. If you stick with the # 75782 you can use the Trailer Hitch Reducer 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63YR to adapt your bike rack. You can also choose to add the Class II # 36529 which has a 1-1/4" receiver. The only downside to the smaller hitch is you would need an adapter for any 2" accessories or ball mounts down the road. A 1-1/4" to 2" adapter will cut your capacity in half which doesn't...
