Do You Have a 1 1/4" Receiver Hitch for My 2025 Hyundai Kona so I can Use My Bike Rack?

Updated 07/02/2025 | Published 02/07/2025

Question:

Good morning. Do you folks make a 2024-2025 Hyundai Kona Class 1 trailer hitch? All I see are class 2 + 3 hitches, and I want a 1-1/4 light duty for my bicycle rack. Thanks,

Hello Tim,

I take it you already have the bike rack which is why you are looking for the 1 1/4" receiver. We only have the 2" receiver for the 2024 Hyundai Kona but that's ok because we can make it work.

If your Kona is the Electric, N Line, and N models you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C43RV.

If your Kona is NOT the Electric, N Line, and N models you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C39RV or the Draw-tite one you were looking at # DT46KV.

In order to use your bike rack, you can grab a Trailer Hitch Reducer # e63YR which is going to fit inside the 2" receiver to make it a 1 1/4" receiver.

Do you have a favorite trial that you like to ride on?

Does the muffler have to be taken off in order to install? I ordered the C43RV for my ‘24 N-line. Or are you saying this is for the electric N-line model? I have the non electric N-line Kona.

@Joshuaj When I look at the instructions it states that if the vehicle has an exhaust it will need to be lowered. So if your 24 N-Line has an exhaust, you will need to lower it for installation, and then reinstall it.

@KateF Ah ok. That makes sense. Was it supposed to come with instructions? If not, it might be helpful to mention it on the item’s listing. The the muffler needs to be lowered for install. There are only pictures of it installed on the electric model. Thank you for the quick reply!!

@Joshuaj Yes, they should have come with instructions, my apologies that they were not there. I tried to attach the instructions for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # C43RV, but they won't attach for some reason. I am going to send you a private email so you have a copy of them. Please let me know if you need anything else.
