Question:
Is there an adapter available to use a bike rack with 1.25 attachment in 2 inch receiver that will also raise the rack up a few inches for additional ground clearance? I see adapters going the other way for 1.25 inch receiver but not for 1.25 inch rack going into 2 inch receiver. I am pretty tall so my bike is too and would like to have more ground clearance. Thanks!!!

Hi LDJ; we have reducers like the # e63YR but none with a built in rise. What you can do is pair it with Gen-Y stacked receivers like the # 325-GH-303 with a 5" rise/drop or # 325-GH-304 with a 7-1/2" rise/drop. The design prevents any reduction in hitch capacity like other adapters and will get you the extra clearance. The Gen-Y is pretty solid but I recommend using an anti-rattle like # GY88XR to help reduce unwanted movement as you add more parts to your bike rack setup.

Thanks for the info. I also requested info on area hitch installers but have not heard back. Can you have someone check on that? Thanks.
