Video Transcript for All About the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun with Straight Pipe

Today we're going to be taking a look at the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun. The Mini Grease Gun is going to apply grease under pressure to moving parts that need lubrication. You can see the components that it comes with so it's going to come with a flex hose, this is going to help get to those hard to reach areas, and the convenient small size can really help manoeuvre into those tighter places. Also, when it's not being used, when you have it in your toolbox or storage area, the compact size is going to take up less space in your toolbox. I do want to mention that here on the actual gun portion, it does have the nice coated handle, and it's going to have the textured barrel that's going to provide extra grip, really nice design of the unit, very easy to use. It's going to come with your coupler, straight pipe, and a hose, all that's included. Back here you're going to have your barrel, the handle portion simply un-threads from that.

This will accept 3 ounce grease cartridges, those are sold separately. We do sell them here at etrailer.com if you're interested or if you need to get some. It has the appropriate seals to make sure it doesn't leak. Really nice design, it's got the release lever here, just very easy to use. Now this can be used with or without the hose, so I want to show you that real quick.

The way that the unit actually assembles, you have your connection point right here. You need to take your straight pipe, place it through, threads in. Then what you can do is you can take this piece right here, attach it directly to the pipe, and that's going to give the connection point to the grease inaudible 00:01:39 fitting. Or what you can do is you can attach this piece, which will then allow you to attach your hose, again just threads on. Then on the end of the hose you do attach this piece. You do have a couple of different options as far as how you want to assemble it to use it, so that's really nice design of the unit as well.

It's going to feature an output pressure of 4500 PSI, output rate is approximately 0.5 ounces per 40 strokes. The pipe length, it's going to be about 4 inches and then your hose length is going to be an additional 12 inches, nice flexible design there. That's going to do for today's look at the LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun.

  • New Brake Assemblies, Hub/Drums, Brake Lines, and Bearing Buddy for Trailer with 3,500 lb Axle
For as trashed as those brake assemblies are I am impressed with how spotless that spindle is! Based on the bearing numbers you mentioned you have a #84 spindle and the hub part # AKHD-545-35-G-K is correct. Since this its galvanized it's a really great option as it will fight corrosion. The flexible brake line kits like the part # 18SI-BLKIT is what I would go with. They are just as durable as anything else and a lot easier to install. The brake assemblies # AKFBBRK-35R-D and # AKFBBRK-35L-D...

  • Replacement Grease Seals For TRP GS-1719DL
From the numbers you provided it sounds like you need replacement grease seals. In my research, the grease seals I found with the GS-1719DL number have a 1.72 inside diameter and 2.565 outside diameter. The replacement double lip grease seals you need are part # RG06-050. There are 2 seals in the package. When replacing any components for your hub, you will want to make sure you either get the numbers for the parts or take precise measurements with a digital caliper. I have attached...

  • Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000 lb Axle With 13 Inch Wheels
We do have a solution for you, although the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles # 34822545BX does require wheels be only 8" to 12". The reason for that is there is this hub does not have a large enough flange diameter in order to to provide the necessary side-to-side support for a larger 13" wheel, so it can become loose on the hub. Instead, the hub you need for your 13" wheel is the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb Axles # 8-258BTUC1. This uses the same...

  • How to Remove Cartridge Stuck in Grease Gun

  • Wet Shackle Bolts to Reduce Noise from Tandem Axle Travel Trailer Suspension
If you think the cause for the noise on your 2015 Jayco Whitehawk 24RBS tandem-axle travel trailer is from the normal travel of the suspension components (leaf springs, equalizers and shackle straps), you might switch over to wet bolts. The squeaking noises from trailer suspension can be reduced by replacing standard shackle bolts with wet bolts. Wet bolts like # TRFA71063 and # 126B2 have a grease zerk fitting that allows you to maintain a layer of grease between the surfaces of those...

  • Unlocking The Jaws On The Curt Q25 Fifth Wheel Hitch
It sounds to me like the jaws on your Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 25,000lbs Item # C16265 need to be greased or that you may have backed into the king pin with the jaws not locked in the coupling position and could have damaged the jaws. If you did damage the jaws you'll need to replace the head of the hitch with the Replacement Head Unit for Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 25,000lbs # C16565. If that's not the case make sure your landing gears are down enough to...

  • Recommendations for Bearing Buddies and Grease on Dexter 7,000 lb Axle
Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like # BB2717SS will not work with E-Z lube axles unless you remove the grease zerk fitting like you mentioned from the spindle. Once that grease zerk is removed, then the Bearing Buddy will work as intended using the spring loaded design and integrated grease zerk to keep the bearings well lubricated and maintained. When adding grease, you need to be careful not to mix styles of grease as they aren't compatible in most instances. So you will either want...

  • Do EZ Lube Spindles Keep Water Out When Submerged
The EZ-Lube portion of the Dexter Trailer Idler Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles # T20BTR-EZ-7258 will keep water out so long as they are greased properly and you use the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles # 8-258-5UC1-EZ which does have an EZ-Lube grease cap. This will create a seal that does not allow water in when you submerge your axles. • How Often Should Zerk Fittings On Lippert Trailair Pin Box Be Greased
The Lippert Trailair Tri-Glide Pin Box is the only Lippert Trailair Pin Box I am aware of with grease fittings. That said, it is recommend to grease these fittings (see photo) every 1,500 - 2,000 miles. In regards to the exact amount, this is not provided as it will vary by case and how much is needed but a safe bet would be a few pumps for each fittings. The LubriMatic Mini Grease Gun # 30-800 and grease cartridges part # L54FR would be great for keeping up with the above pin box maintenance.

  • Is it Advisable to Mix Different Types of Wheel Bearing Grease in Trailer Bearing
Certain types of grease are compatible with each other but since you do not know what type is in your trailer now we recommend that you remove the existing grease from your trailer wheel bearings before refilling them. Even if you know what type of grease is currently in the bearings there is some chance that the old grease may be contaminated from moisture. Cleaning out all the existing grease and replacing all of it with fresh is the way to go. I have linked an article that may be helpful...

  • Is there a Specific Temperature Rating Needed for Wheel Bearing Grease on a Trailer
As long as the wheel bearing grease you use is appropriate for the application, in this case marine grease is ideal # 30-800 and # L54FR, then the temperature rating will be rated appropriately as well. There isn't one specific temperature rating or range to adhere to as long as the grease can be used with wheel bearings and is compatible with any old grease in the hubs. No, because the hub would need to be assembled and then disassembled for installation and the grease could attract dirt and grime during shipping, our hub and drum assemblies do not come pre-greased.
