Recommendations for Bearing Buddies and Grease on Dexter 7,000 lb Axle

hi, Do Bearing Boddy are ok on a dexter easy lube axe 7000lb. Those axe have a greasse fitting in middle oh the axe . Should we remove the greasse fitting? Which grease is the best ? Regards

Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like # BB2717SS will not work with E-Z lube axles unless you remove the grease zerk fitting like you mentioned from the spindle. Once that grease zerk is removed, then the Bearing Buddy will work as intended using the spring loaded design and integrated grease zerk to keep the bearings well lubricated and maintained.
When adding grease, you need to be careful not to mix styles of grease as they aren't compatible in most instances. So you will either want to use the same grease you have been using for your bearings or completely clean your bearings and spindles prior to using a different grease.
The grease that is best is either the marine grease. You can get it in 3 oz cartrides # L54FR and a compatible grease gun like the # 30-800, or the LMX "red" grease # L11390. These just handle the friction heat better than the other options.
