This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side interior trim panels in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Product arrived from etrailer and it was exactly as spec'ed. I own a conversion van and getting to the required junctions was a little bit of a pain, but that's not the product's fault. Once the appropriate interior panels were off, the wiring itself took 5 minutes and everything worked perfectly. I was lucky in that I needed to drill no holes. I used the product to help pull a rental trailer with no issues.
I ORDERED A TRAILER HITCH, BALL MOUNT, AND THE TRAILER LIGHTING AND I COULDN'T BE ANY MORE HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING. ETRAILER IS THE BEST. EVERYTHING WAS INSTALLED IN ABOUT 15 MIN. BY MYSELF. GREAT PRICES AND THE BEST SERVICE.

I purchased this over the other brand because according to the reviews I've read this came with a longer 4 pin wire. I routed through the brake light paneling to get a clean look and had plenty of wire to reach my 7 pin connector. No pigtail coming out of my rear doors. This was installed in a 2017 Chevy Express 2500 passenger van.

Wiring kit connects inside the van and yet, it appears I have some wires from the factory right down by the hitch. I may test them before I use the wiring kit.
Installation on 2009 Chevy Express Van - the installation of this harness couldn't have been easier (especially when you pair it with etrailer's instructional video). The only error I made was on the driver side where there are two connections that will work with this harness. BE SURE TO USE THE UPPER CONNECTION (see attached picture).
I got the same curt T connection again because it's so easy to use and also the bumper mount hitch .again I say it's so easy to install, i did it in less than a hour ,Love it when I use it for my Cargo trailer. I brought my 2019 Chevy Express 15 passenger to you to determine the parts I needed for towing. Your technician inspected the vehicle and determined it didn't have the factory tow package even though it had a trailering button by inspecting the area around the spare for a harness. However, I believe I just found the factory harness near the bumper. Please confirm per the picture and advise how to recover.

Hey Brian, I am not sure what that harness or plug is but it does not look like the factory tow package. For that vehicle the factory tow package harness would have been a 7 way round plug either on the bumper or behind it. This Curt harness is what you will want to install using the plugs behind the tail lights.

Like all curt products it just worked… never any fitment or issues of any kind. Shop here all the time awesome selection prices and customer service/ support always top notch!
The trailer hitch gets five stars. Unfortunately the vehicle wiring harness only gets three. It needs a safety feature such as a fuse or something so that it doesn't allow the BCM to blow which is what happened on my van. Ultimately the wiring problem was the trailer but when the BCM goes it's expensive.
It works, but the included instructions aren't great. They tell you exactly how to rout the harness to each taillight, but nothing is mentioned about how to rout the trailer end to the outside of the van. I ended up going through a rubber plug that is hidden by the left door when it's closed, and from there straight down and behind the bumper.
