I have a 2020 chevy express Im looking to add 7way/4way trailer plug. it has an abnormal factory wire plug oval 12 wire. I can send over a picture

I do have an option for you but there are no plug-in seven way trailer wiring harness options for a 2020 Chevrolet Express Van. In order to install one you must first start with a four way like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 55540. This can then be converted into a seven way using the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. This then has everything else you need to install a trailer brake controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR.
Fortunately, you're not the first person to find a rogue plug under the bumper and think it's for a trailer connector but that is not the case. These have been the wired the same way from the factory for the better part of the last decade and there are no plugs back there for this purpose unless it already came from the factory with a connector.
