Higher Capacity Trailer Hitch for 2012 GMC Savana Cutaway Chassis

I have a 2012 gmc savanna cutaway chassis with a 4 window school bus body. What trailer hitch will fit this application. 10,000 or more tow rating. Weld or bolt on is fine. What 7pin complete wiring harness? Plug and play would be nice but I don’t think one is made for this application.

Hey John, we can help but we don't have any custom fit hitches for your 2012 GMC Savana Van Cutaway so you would need to go with a weld on hitch like the Draw Tite part # 41990-07. Has a capacity of 16,000 lbs though so it would cover the higher rating you need. This has 7 inch drop brackets but if you need more than that to go from the frame down below the rear bumper we also have the part # 41990-16 which has 16 inch drop brackets instead.
To install a 7-way would require you to first install a 4-way like the part # 55540 which is custom fit. Then to convert to a 7-way you'd just need the part # 37185. Does the trailer you plan to tow have brakes?
