I got a hopkin 40975 plug but my van dosent have a tow package do have a plug for the back of it with wiring

Hey Joseph, since your 2022 GMC Van doesn't have the 7-way wiring that would indicate it doesn't have the factory tow package so you'd need to go a different route to install a 7-way. You'd need to first start with the 4-way kit part # 55540 that is a confirmed fit for your Van and then convert it to a 7-way with the part # 37185 if the trailer you plan to tow does not have brakes.
If you have trailer brakes you need to operate you'd instead want the # ETBC7 with a brake controller like the P2 part # 90885.
