I bought the curt kit that has just a ground wire and now power wire. It didn't work for me , so I bought this one and it works fine now. My vehicle being 2020 Ford ranger STX with no towing package and only the four pin came stock. I would suggest buying this one first and don't waste your money if you don't have the town package , meaning if your truck didn't come with a tow bar only the bumper , this is the kit you need basically.
Wiring kit plugged right into factory harness. Install was very straight forward. One wire needed to be connected to the battery. All terminals and wire, zip ties included in the kit, no other parts needed.
Installed without any problems. The video described exactly what needs to be done. I bought with this the Mighty Cord Universal 7-Way Mounting Bracket. The holes did not align with this very well and the bolts went in at an angle. Other than that, everything is great!
The whole hitch package came complete in less time than expected. It was a perfect fit on my 2020 Ford Ranger XLT super Crew. I did it myself with a couple of clamps; Half hour tops!
My wiring harness arrived without the 7 round connector, the package showed signs of having been opened. One phone call and I had a replacement on the way.
The wiring harness package was broken open by the trailer hitch that was in the box along with it. The hitch was not secured well in the box and moved around too much smashing the plastic packaging. The instructions were not very helpful for the wiring harness. Very vague, and I even have some experience with this type of stuff. A novice would be lost. More pictures would be quite beneficial. The hitch itself is very nice. The directions are fine, as it is quite simple to install. Looking forward to many years of use.

The wire to the battery severed in multiple places. I will have to replace it and try to secure it better. It would be nice if there was a better way to connect it to power other than running it the entire length of the truck.
The quality of the product was good but service was e-trailer customer service was horrible. I ordered a hitch and a wiring kit with free shipping. They shipped the hitch, but not the wiring harness as it was out of stock, although when ordering it confirmed that it was in available. There was an alternative for a few dollars more. I had to purchase the comparable item on a separate invoice and pay shipping on it. Contacted the company with no response back. They should have contacted me before shipping and offered the alternative item, or shipped the other item with free shipping. Again, happy with the product, but not the customer service.
This product does come with everything you need to mount it except the screws for the actual plug. My truck (2019 Ford Ranger) had a factory optional 7-pin trailer connector that I didn't get but I was able to mount this in the factory location in the rear bumper. Running the single wire to the battery took some time, but the unit had plenty of wire and zip ties to make it work and keep the wire tucked away from any hazards.
Keeps your factory 4 pin intact amd gives you a 7 way. Easy enough to install by yourself only have to run 1 wire. Just be careful with the clips on the connectors
My recent order of a trailer wiring harness was delivered in a timely manner and appears to be the great quality that I have experienced with previous orders. The customer service is excellent with several follow ups and always a direct contact person.

Perfect fit. Ridiculously easy installation. I think it took me somewhere between 10 to 15 minutes if I count getting out tools. Oh yeah, is it arrive two days earlier than when I was expecting it.
Easy set up self-explanatory for the 2021 Ford Ranger plug in play product worked great and fit well.
Works great and was reasonably priced. Great customer service also.
I ordered the trailer hitch receiver and 7-way trailer harness. The website said I would also need to buy the 7-way mounting bracket. I tried to install the mounting bracket on the hitch receiver and there were no hole or mounting plate. What was advertised at "no drilling or cutting" resulted in me buying parts that were not useable, and extra customizing that was not expected.

I apologize for the site being worded a little strange to understand. The description of the 7 way mounting bracket Item A10-9394VP says for a no-drill installation, additional mounting brackets can be used that clamp to the trailer hitch and bolt to this bracket. So the additional mounting bracket is this part number here: item C57202.
Easy to install, no splicing wires just plug it in and it looks factory installed.
Easy to install and works great on my 2019 Ranger. Saved $$ over having dealer install.
Does what's it's advertised which is rare these days so seems to be a good product.
