Recommended 7-way Connector For 2019 Ford Ranger W/ Factory 4-way Connector

Question:

What is the best way to make this work for a 2019 Ford ranger with a 4 pin connector? Would I need to change the wiring harnesses for a 7 way or just add an adapter?

To use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 on your 2019 Ford Ranger with a factory 4-way connector you will need to install the Tekonsha 7-way connector # 22124.

This connector includes a harness custom made for your vehicle and will plug in to the factory connectors that your 4-way connector is installed in to. The only wiring portion you will need to do is running the black wire to the positive terminal of the battery with the included fuse.

With this 7-way connector installed the # C51180 will plug right in and allow you to safely and legally tow your trailer with trailer brakes.
