Why does the Tekonsha harness require a wire to be run up to the battery vs. the Curt Harness?

The Tekonsha wiring harness item # 22124 for your 2021 Ford Ranger XLT uses a power lead because they feel like it's needed but the Curt harness item # C56431 will work just fine and eliminates that extra step during installation. I recommend using the Curt wiring harness. I have linked video reviews for both the Curt and Tekonsha wiring harnesses.
