Question:
Have a 2015 StarCraft Autumn Ridge 289BHS. Thinking about replacing scissor jacks with this product. Will it do a better job of stabilizing side to side sway? The scissor jacks really don’t help much with that. Thanks!

Hey David! Since your goal is reducing side to side sway the Drill-Powered Stabilizer Jack # TV68FR isn't your best option. This makes setup easier, and is more stable than the standard scissor jacks, but it won't significantly cut down that side to side movement on its own.
What I recommend is the JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for Travel Trailers # LC191025. These bolt onto your existing scissor jacks and frame to form a rigid triangle system that cuts out that movement. I actually had these installed on my Jayco, you can see the installation video further down on this page. The stabilizers made a huge difference, especially with my kids running around in the trailer.
If you want to take it a step further, you can pair this with the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember # MR33WR. These install between your hangers and help reduce flex in the trailer itself. You can add up to three since that is a tandem axle. When combined with the Strong Arm kit it really locks everything down.
Where are you taking the Autumn Ridge next?
