Features to know about

Effortless Camper Loading and Unloading: Hand Winches with Safety Latches

Loading your camper can be a daunting task if you don't have the right equipment, but with the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks, you get hand winches that make raising and lowering your camper a breeze. The integrated safety latches ensure that the cables won't free-spool, keeping your camper securely in place with each crank.

Portable and Space-Saving Design: Breaks Down for Easy Storage

Say goodbye to bulky, permanent installations with the Brophy's cleverly portable design. Each jack disassembles into three pieces, letting you stow them away without hassle. It's perfect for those who require dependable jacks that won't take up much space when not in use.

Stability Matters: Sturdy Tripod Base

Ensuring your camper remains steady, this jack system features a sturdy tripod base. The design ensures that your camper's weight is evenly distributed, eliminating front-to-back and side-to-side motions. Whether you're camping on an uneven surface or just in your driveway, these jacks provide a secure hold.

Resilience in Every Fiber: Aircraft-Grade Cables and Heavy-Duty Construction

These jacks are equipped with aircraft-grade cables that are both strong and reliable, making sure they stand up to rigorous use. The durable, corrosion-resistant construction—with black powder coated tripod bases and galvanized upright poles—guarantees long-lasting performance. It's equipment you can trust, no matter the weather.

Optimized for Easy Operation: L-Shaped Lift Brackets

Lifting your camper doesn't have to be complex. The L-shaped lift brackets are designed to support both the bottom and sides of your camper, making operation straightforward. Simply place them under your camper and crank up the winches to achieve the perfect height for loading or unloading.

  • What Is The Difference Between Brophy Cable Camper Jacks CJ31 and CJ41?
I would be happy to help! The only difference between the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 and # CJ41 is the weight capacity. The # CJ31 has a 1000lb weight capacity where the # CJ41 has a 3000lb capacity. Both have the same 17" - 57" lift range, so you will just need to pick the one rated high enough for the weight of your truck bed camper/cargo box. I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.

  • Are The Brophy Cable Camper Jacks Stable
You should not have a problem with the camper sliding out when you are using any of the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks. The jack is very stable because of the tripod base. That stability will make the jack very difficult to tip to the front or the back. You will need to use two jacks, one per side. You will just need to make sure your camper jacks maximum weight capacity exceeds the weight of your camper. I have included a the different model Brophy Cable Camping jacks and their weight limits...

  • Can the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks Lift a Camper Shell
As long as the bed rails on your truck are not more than 57" from the ground then you could certainly use the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks part # CJ31 to lift the camper shell up from your truck bed. Once lifted, you could just simply drive away and the camper shell will be left standing. This is certainly not the intended purpose of these cable jacks but if it were my camper, I would want two jacks on each side for support.

  • Will Cable Camper Jacks Flip Truck Camper When Being Used
There is no danger of the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 flipping the camper over when you are using them; you just need to ensure they are properly used and aren't overloaded past their 1,000 lb (combined) capacity. These jacks have a tripod base which means the weight is evenly distributed so there isn't going to be any movement, and the winches that raise and lower the jacks have safety latches to ensure you can maintain control at all times.

  • Solution for Truck Bed Camper Jacks with Bad Gears
We have excellent options for replacing your truck bed camper jacks but we do not have a way to get the gears you'd need for the jacks that you currently have. Based on that you'd want the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 which has a 1,000 lb capacity.

  • Light Duty Brophy Cable Camper Jack Options
If you're needing the 67" max lift then you can get two of the 1,500 lb version # CJ74H. Same Max Lift just half the weight capacity. If you do not really need up to 67 inches of lift, you can get the # CJ31 that will have a Max Lift of 57 inches and a capacity of 1,000 lbs. These are both great options that are more light duty than the 3,000 lb jacks # CJ74. I've included some videos for you to check out if you wanted to learn more!

  • Can the Tripod Foot of the Brophy Camper Jack CJ31 be Positioned Out of the Way
The Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 has tripod feet with the longer two legs sitting at almost a 90 degree angle in proportion to the smaller leg. Since they don't sit at a perfect 90 degree angle they will be slightly under the L-brackets that you will be lifting with. This should not be an issue though as the the lowest height the brackets can get to is 17 inches.

  • Can Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 Be Used to Stabilize Truck Camper
The Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ31 referenced in your question are designed to allow for easy loading and unloading of your truck camper but could be used as stabilizing jacks along with the 3 existing jacks on your camper to help support and hold the unit in place while it's off the truck. If you plan on using the camper when it's off the truck you will still want to use some kind of floor support as well. These two cable jacks feature a combined weight capacity of 1,000 pounds and...

  • Can Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer # 020106 be Used to Stabilize a Truck Camper
While the Valterra Folding Manual Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs # 020106 was designed for stabilizing RVs and trailers there is nothing preventing you from using it to support a slide-in truck camper. You would need at least 2 of them. Each is rated for a total of 1,000 pounds so make sure that your camper is under the capacity total. We do also have a selection of camper jacks, see link, if you are interested. We have a lower end 1,000 pound capacity, # CJ31, up to a beefy 4,000 pound...

  • Will the Brophy Replacement Poles 1108 Fit Their CJ31Jacks?
With the Replacement Upright Pole # 1108 being a replacement for the Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ74, it will have a 2 inch diameter. This will be larger than the 1-1/2 poles in your # CJ31 due to the additional height and weight capacity of this system. Unfortunately, Brophy does not offer a taller pole for the # CJ31 at this time. With that being said, if more height is needed, the only option we currently have will be to replace your current system with the # CJ74.

  • 57 or 67 Inch Tall Brophey Camper Jack Recommendation
If it were me I would go with the taller 67 inch Brophy jacks part # CJ74. Having more height than needed would be better than not having quite enough. Plus your truck does sit taller than most similar sized trucks so the extra height would be beneficial.

  • Does Truck Bed Camper Need To Hang Over Truck Bed Rails For Brophy Hand Crank Jack To Work?
Yes, technically the camper needs to hang over truck bed rails for the Brophy Heavy Duty Cable Camper Jacks - 67" Max Lift Height - 4,000 lbs # CJ31 to get under the camper and lift it up properly. This should be self-explanatory, but if the camper doesn't fit the truck bed properly and doesn't overhang the proper amount, then the jack would be too close inside and possibly hit the truck tires.

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. The Brophy Camper Cable Jacks # CJ31 are better suited a truck bed camper that extends out past the bed rails on each side. They can potentially be used for a camper shell that is flush with the side of the truck, but it really depends on the shape of the side of your truck. On the camper jacks, you have about 3" from the upright post to the back side of the bracket the camper shell sits on. I suggest you measure the side of your truck to see if...
