Randy: Hey guys, it's Randy here etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement tripod for the Brophy high lift in-bed camper jacks. Now we get a lot of questions about this and mainly it's somebody who's either damaged their old one or is looking at a replacement for any number of reasons. So basically this is going to be a direct replacement for the CJ31 or the CJ74H. It's a solid fixed leg tripod. Of course, tripod is going to have three legs that come off of it.

Two, we're going to be the same size and we've got one shorter one. This should be placed out and away from our vehicle. Our shorter leg to the end of the pad will be about 11 and three quarters of an inch. Both of our longer legs to the end, going to be about 16 and a quarter.From the ground to the top of the insert here, it's going to be seven and a half inches. Of course it's nice, sturdy steel construction, has a black paint finish on it so that should help it resist corrosion quite a bit, not have many issues there.

Kind of the most common question we get about it, it's going to be the diameter here, and what's able to fit down and in. And if we'll take a look there, we've got about an inch and seven eighths. The main tube that comes with it, it's an inch and a half that goes down and in, but if you had a different idea of what you're going to be using this base for, we can go up to an inch and seven eights there and it'll still fit in there freely.Overall, guys, I think if you've had any kind of issues with your old tripod or maybe they've just got to a point to where they're not really usable anymore, since this is a direct replacement, this is definitely the way to go.
