Features to know about

Lock and Load with Confidence: Self-Retracting Design

Say goodbye to the tangled mess of traditional tie-downs. The CargoBuckle G3's self-retracting design ensures the strap is always neat and ready for action. When not in use, these straps automatically wind back into their housing, keeping them organized and tangle-free. Perfect for quickly securing cargo without the hassle, ideal for those who value efficiency and neatness.

No More Scratched Cargo: Vinyl-Coated Steel S-Hooks

Protect your precious cargo from unwanted scuffs and scratches. The CargoBuckle G3 is equipped with vinyl-coated steel S-hooks, providing an extra layer of protection for anything you're hauling. Whether it's a fragile load or your cherished Harley, rest assured these hooks are as gentle as they are strong.

Quick and Safe Ratcheting: Dual Safety Locks

Safety is paramount when securing heavy loads, and the dual safety locks on the CargoBuckle G3 ensure that the ratchet mechanism stays firmly in place. The locks secure the ratchet arm in both open and closed positions, preventing accidental loosening and guaranteeing your cargo remains tightly in place during transport.

Built to Last: Corrosion-Resistant Steel Body

Rain or shine, the CargoBuckle G3 is made to withstand the elements. Its corrosion-resistant steel body ensures a long-lasting performance, supporting your cargo needs through all weather conditions. Designed for durability, this construction keeps work stress-free with fewer replacements or repairs.

Superior Control: Rubber-Coated SUR-Grip Handles

Easily maneuver your tie-downs with one hand, thanks to the wide, rubber-coated SUR-Grip handles. These handles offer superior control when operating the ratchet mechanism, making it a breeze to tighten or release straps, even in challenging conditions. Perfect for anyone who prioritizes simple, ergonomic designs in their gear.

Built-In Versatility: Bolt-On Mount with Multiple Options

Adaptable to almost any setup, the CargoBuckle G3 can be permanently mounted to any flat surface with included 3/8" mounting hardware. This versatility extends with optional adapters for using the tie-downs as standard straps with S-hooks or as E-track straps, ensuring you have the right gear for every haul.

Note

Tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

  • Can CargoBuckle G3 Straps In CargoAnchor Kit Be Used For Hauling Zero Turn Mower?
Hey Daniel, absolutely! These CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # IMF18800 straps are beasts. They’re rated for a 1,167 lb working load and a 3,500 lb break strength. Plenty of capacity to handle a zero-turn, UTV, or other equipment. We've had customers used these for a Kubota RTV and they held like a rock. The retractable design is also way nicer than dealing with loose strap ends flapping around. These straps are the ones that are included in the following kits as well: -CargoAnchor...

  • Do the ShockStrap Shock Absorbing Tie-Down Straps Come in a Retractable Style?
The ShockStrap Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps w Built-in Shock Absorbers - 1-1/2" x 7' - 1K - Qty 2 # 297-7RSDB are not available in the retractable style. This is simply because the shock absorbing element wouldn't be able to be retracted to the spring loaded coil. The manufacturer doesn't make a semi-retractable option at this time. If you would like a retractable strap instead of the shock absorber, then I recommend the Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases -...

  • Can I Use A 10mm Bolt Instead Of The 3/8 Bolt With The CargoBuckle Ratchet Straps IMF18800
Yes, I believe a 10mm bolt will work just fine with the CargoBuckle Ratchet Straps # IMF18800. The bolt provided with the straps is a 3/8" bolt so like 9.5mm. The plastics housing on the back gives a bit of extra space for the bolt so it will fit thru fine. The metal on the front may be a bit tighter of a fit for a 10mm bolt. I feel like a half of a millimeter will not be a big deal, but you could probobly enlarge the hole ever so slightly without too much trouble if you need to.

  • How to Pick the Correct Transom Straps For a 9,000 lb. Boat and 2,500 lb. Trailer
When choosing transom tie-downs you will want to choose a tie-down with a break strength that exceeds the weight of the lightest object. So in your instance, you will want a strap that exceeds the 2,500 lbs. that your trailer weighs. This is to ensure that the boat does not jump off of the trailer if you run over bumps or potholes. The highest rated transom straps that we have are the BoatBuckle G2 Retractable, Ratcheting Transom Tie-Down Straps # IMF08893, but the break strength is 2,500...

  • Recessed Ratchet Strap or D-Ring Anchors
We may have a solution for you and it sounds like you are looking for a recessed mount for your ratchet straps so nothing is sticking up out of the floor of your enclosed trailer. The CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Strap - Flush Mount # IMF18804 is a great option for something like this because it will mount beneath the floor of your cargo trailer (the mounting hardware is included). • Recommended Tie-Downs for a Loaded Boat Weighing 5,000 lbs
I recommend using the CargoBuckle G3 Straps # IMF18800. These are ratcheting straps that have a very nice retractable feature for easy storage and to help keep things organized. The G3 straps have a safe working load limit (WLL) of 1,167 lbs which will be enough for your 5,000 lbs boat since it will be resting on the trailer. The break strength rating is 3,500 lbs. If you don't have a location to mount these then you need the Mounting Brackets # IMF16777 which have a weight capacity of...

  • Will Drilling Hole In Trailer To Mount CargoBuckle G3 IMF8800 Weaken Trailer?
The CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Straps - Bolt On - 2" x 6' - 1,167 lbs - Qty 2 # IMF18800 you were looking at uses a 3/8" bolt to secure the strap to your trailer. This will not weaken the frame of the trailer given you drill the 3/8" hole directly in the center of the material on the trailer. You will want to make sure you are not drilling the hole right on the edge. I included a video of the # IMF18800 for you to take a look at.

We have a video review of the CargoBuckle G3 Retractable, Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps, # IMF18800, and I have linked it for you. Installation is straight forward. The straps have a mounting hole on the base and include nuts, bolts, and washers. All you will have to do is drill an appropriate sized hole where you wish to mount them and use the supplied hardware to attach to the frame. Regular hand tools, box wrenches and/or sockets, are all you will need to tighten them down. If the trailer...

To secure your Polaris ATV to the trailer I recommend taking a look at the CamBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # IMF18800. • Mounting Locations for CargoBuckle Ratcheting Tie Downs # IMF18800
The best mounting location of Tie Down Strap part # IMF18800 will really depend on what you are carrying. Generally speaking, mounting one tie down at each corner of the bed would allow for the most flexibility. Each strap can safely handle a load of 1167 lbs, or 2334 lbs per pair.

When selecting straps and tie downs, you will want to look at the maximum load strength and the safe working load limit. Because the weight of a tractor can depend on the level of the fluids and things like mud getting stuck to it, I would actually look at a higher rated strap like # 58514. This strap has a safe working load...

Like anything that sees a lot of activity in a salt water environment you would want to rinse the CargoBuckle straps # IMF18800 with fresh water afterwards to prolong the life of the straps. Also letting the straps dry prior to retracting them will make the ratcheting in/pulling the line out work better and last longer then trying to do so when wet. This is true for any ratchet strap. You can mount the CargoBuckle G3 Retractable Ratchet Tie-Down Straps # IMF18800 in virtually any position as long as you are able to drill the hole for the 3/8" bolt. Most likely opt to attach the strap to the main frame as it is going to be stronger than the angle iron rails.
