I have never dealt with a company that is so helpful, I am extremely thankful for all your advice, both before purchase and after when I had installation questions. I highly recommend your products and services!

by:

I ordered this as a replacement for my pull trailer. It's still in perfect shape a year later and working great!

by:

I think they are designed to be “slow trip” I put about 65 Amps through it for ~40 seconds before it tripped. Nice form factor

by:

I followed the detailed instructions from etrailer’s video to add a 7pin trailer harness and ebrake controller for my 2010 Dodge Dakota Big Horn. I ordered the 30 amp and the 40 amp circuit breakers for the 12 volts and ebrake controller power supply. The order came in with a 30 amp and a 20 amp breakers instead. I contacted etrailer about the mistake and etrailer sent the correct 40 amp right away without hesitation. Etrailer has been a great source of information and they have the best customer service out there. Thank you!!

by:

Excellent quality and strength. Why skimp on something as important as your hitch? I have purchased three of these Draw Tites - I guess a repeat customer will scream about the true quality a company can garner from repeat customers. When you pull show cars worth six figures, you can't afford a poorly made hitch.
Step up, step out, and don't fret what you are pulling.

by:

All three (3) In-Line Circuit Breakers I purchased (9510, 38630 & 9506P) met my expectations based on web page information reviewed prior to placing an order. The installation instructions received were excellent and easy to follow. Each performed well throughout the summer and fall 2017 on several extended vacations in western North America.

by:

Circuit breaker does what it should, I hope. Mounting bracket come off fairly easily, which was a bit disappointing. Happy about the different colored terminals. So far so good, its much nicer having power from my tow vehicle to my trailer.

by:

I ordered everything to add trailer brake hookups to a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I got:
Correct parts,
Great price,

and Clear instructions included with Tekonsha controller.

This circuit breaker for electric trailer brakes is working fine after a year's use. No complaints. Good reputable company to deal with.

by:

I ordered the Drawtite Activator II with associated wiring. The unit was bench-tested where I became familiar with its operation. The digitally displayed output is a big plus, as I expected it to be. Stephanie was very helpful in assisting with my order and order status emails home. I spent a good hour under the truck finding the best wiring route and wire-tying everything, and close to 4 hours total to complete.

by:

adapter works good. Was easy to install. Power light stays on as it should. The left turn, right turn, and running lights stay on faint to. Pulled my trailer 550 miles and no problems

by:

Items were exactly as described and have me the exact parts I needed for Dodge. I used etrailer.com once before for trailer wiring parts. You can beat their parts availability on each different project.. The online instructions for each vehicle wiring sold me on their site.. Thanks again

by:

Needed for my installation. etrailer staff was very helpful in helping me order all the pieces that I needed.

by:

After a year of use I would still recomend this kit and ordering it from etrailer. I was able to install it myself using their instructions and videos. You can buy with confidence here.

by:

Have only been able to use our trailer on a couple of outings but every thing worked perfect.

First time buyer. Omg how great of a company. Everything u need and then some. Free shipping. And truth be told I had the pleasure of speaking with Terri N when I went to check out. 5 minutes into the phone call,I was thinking to myself what a wonderful person she is. Your company should feel very greatful to have someone like her working for u. I can not began to say it was the best buying experience I have had in a long time. Once again I want to say what a great place and Terri N what a wonderful person. Thank u again

by:

Everything was as advertised, and thank you Kaylyn R for your wonderful customer service. It took awhile to get everything installed, because of crazy events in the past year, but it all works great!

by:

I ordered this controller and additional parts from Laser. Before committing to buying, I asked him many questions. He answered them all in about a clear and concise way as possible while presenting a picture of how to install the device. It arrived today and I haven't started, but he also emphasized that I could call if I ran into any difficulties. I'll follow up when the job is complete. My experience in this context could not have been better.
Michael

by:

Works great - once I got the wiring installed this thing had no issues with my trailer.

by:

All around very positive experience.
I
placed an online order and thirty seconds later realized I'd missed one item on my list. Called and s/w Jennifer who fixed it all 1-2-3. Order arrived sooner than expected. I will be back in the future.

by:

Great products, fast shipping. I will buy from etrailer again.

by:

Product is as described and pictured. Reasonable shipping rates and delivery.

by:

Etrailer is the bomb, great customer service and everything arrived on time, with no issues!

  • Can Tekonsha Wireless Brake Controller Install with 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter
You can use a 4-way to 7-way adapter like the part # 37185 to install a Prodigy RF part # TK94FR but you have to connect the black wire of the # 37185 up to the positive post of the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker like part # 9510. Once you do that the RF will be active and ready to go. No other wires would be needed to be ran.

  • Recommended 7-Way Wiring And Wireless Brake Controller For A 2022 Toyota Highlander
Hi Vijay, Since you're wanting to go with a wireless brake controller you can use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672 you were looking at and just cap off both the yellow and blue wires with some electrical tape. These can be saved for use later on if you want a hardwired brake controller or have a boat trailer with a reverse lock out solenoid. You'll need to pick up some 10awg wire # 10-1-1 to run from the black wire up to the battery and a 40 amp circuit breaker # 9510 inline...

  • Activating 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of 7-Way on 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe
Hey Danny, we can definitely help but we don't have just a kit for what you need. What you'd instead need is to run a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 through a breaker like the part # 9510 from the positive post of your battery to the 12 volt accessory pin of the 7-way.

  • LED Light On Curt Echo Not Lighting Up Or Pairing To Phone
When the LED light on the Curt Echo part # C51180 does not illuminate that means the brake controller is not getting power from the 12V pin or the ground is bad. On a 7-way trailer connector, the 12V power function does not need to be connected for the other functions such as clearance lights, taillights, stop and turn lights to work properly so it makes sense that your trailer lights are still working properly. The Echo does need 12V power from the 7-way and will not pair to the phone...

  • Installing Wiring for Vehicle 12V Battery and Trailer Connection to Charge Trailer Battery
The wire connected to your 12V (1 o'clock) position on your 7-way should be connected to a 40 circuit breaker like # 9510 and then to your vehicle's positive battery terminal using 10 gauge wire like # 10-1-1. The 12V power at your trailer connector is often connected directly to your trailer battery to provide a maintenance charge while you drive. This is a slow trickle charge based on your vehicle battery charge and your alternator. It is normally around 5-10 amps but this connection...

Hey Nancy, yes the 4-way to 7-way adapter part # C57672 would work for you. The 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way would provide the power your Saris Door County part # SAR42RR needs to raise and lower as well as power the taillights. How do you like the rack so far?

  • How to Bypass Smart Tow Feature of Ford Trailer Wiring for 12 Volt Accessory Circuit
I can definitely help be more specific with the instructions I've mentioned on bypassing the 12 volt accessory pin on your Ford truck. So basically what you'd do is take a length of 10 gauge wire like # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) and connect it to the 1:00 pin position of the 7-way. This is the 1:00 pin as you face the opening of the connector, and then connect the other end to one of the posts on a breaker like part # 9510 and then run wire from the other post of the breaker to the positive...

  • Location of Brake Control Connector on 2004 Dodge Ram
Your 2004 Dodge should have the connector if the 4-pole connector was factory installed, but it might be a bit tricky to locate. Behind the emergency brake pedal on the firewall is a white junction box. The blue connector you are looking for is located above the junction box, and is sometimes actually pinned to the top of the box. You might need to give the connector a tug to get it free. The connector is sometimes hidden by the wires entering the top of the box, so sometimes you will...

The first step I would take would be to check the 30-amp trailer brake controller fuse which is located in the # 10 slot on the fuse box under the hood of your 2008 Toyota Tundra. If the fuse is still intact, then you will want to move to the 7-way trailer connector. If you are getting power here then the problem is in the trailer connector, and it will need to be...

One end of the # 3034-P adapter will plug into the back of the brake controller and the other end plugs into the brake controller port on your vehicle. • What Does Trailer Battery Circuit Breaker Really Do for Trailer Wiring
Circuit breakers are a great way to shut down a circuit if there happened to be an overdraw that would otherwise get the wiring so hot that it would melt or even worse catch fire. They also would save any accessories attached to the circuit from getting damaged as well. For the short term you could bypass the breaker if you need to get the trailer back on the road ASAP but I would recommend replacing the breaker as early as possible. For a 40 amp breaker we have the # 9510.

  • Parts Needed to Convert 4-Way of 2018 Honda Odyssey to 7-Way
You'll need to look for a grommet or hole in the floor of the rear cargo area of your vehicle to permanently mount the connector underneath it. We haven't done this on a vehicle like your 2018 Odyssey but I am sure there's a grommet or hole in the floor board you could use. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a...
