I recommend the Wireless Observation System w/ LED Monitor - 7" Screen # 324-000002. This setup is designed for so that you can turn it on and view what the camera is pointed at giving you the ability to see anything behind you at any given time.

The camera would need power whenever the trailer is connected so you'd need to have a 12 volt power circuit ran on the vehicle from the trailer wiring to accomplish this. On a 7-way like the adapter part # 37185 this would be the pin in the 1:00 position. To complete the 12 volt circuit of the 7-way you'd need to run the black wire of the adapter to the battery of your vehicle through a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 through a breaker like # 9510.

I assume one wire is for ground and the other is for the running lights or reverse light circuit to activate the camera. I would check with the trailer manufacturer or dealer though to be sure.
