Is it possible to use a 4-pin to 7-pin adapter + the Tekonsha wireless brake controller and leave the power/brake input/brake output wires open ? My vehicle only has a 4-pin connector

Expert Reply:
You can use a 4-way to 7-way adapter like the part # 37185 to install a Prodigy RF part # TK94FR but you have to connect the black wire of the # 37185 up to the positive post of the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.
Once you do that the RF will be active and ready to go. No other wires would be needed to be ran.
