Hello Rick, thanks for reaching out. We do have Glacier Cable Tire Chains that will fit the 215/55-17 tires on your 2022 Volkswagen Taos. Here is what you will need:

- Glacier Cable Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Roller Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair # PW1038

- Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks - 1 Pair # TCMA2

Please make sure you check your owners manual and make sure chains are approved for your model and tire size.

Do you plan to be in a location where you will be using chains frequently? Or are you just wanting to keep them in the car for just in case?

Thank you. We are kind of novices at this, my daughter is moving to Montana from Florida so I’m not sure of the frequency that she will need them in the small town just out of Missoula called Hamilton Montana. I am thinking that we should get her some good quality snow tires, and keep these tire chains in the car just in case. Her car is only front wheel drive

@RickZ Well you came to the right place! So the tire cables are good for keeping in the car just in case. In all honesty they really are not built to last, and typically only last one or two uses. If you think the chains would be used more often, I recommend getting an actual chain like the Konig Tire Chains part # TH01221100. These offer much better traction compared to cables. They will be much more robust and durable, and can last several years with proper usage. Also, they will be much easier to install than cables. With cables you have to lay them out on the ground, then get back in the car, drive over the cables, then get out and make your connections. The Konig chains simply drape over the tire, so you can make all your connections in one go. Take a look at this video. Don't hesitate to reach out with any other questions! I am happy to help!
