Question:

Greetings, I would appreciate some assistance ing a set of tire chains for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner, tire size is 265/70R17, I live near Memphis TN, so a super aggressive pattern is not required, just something for use in an ice emergency.

Hey John, welcome back! For your 4Runner with 265/70R17 tires, I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains item # TC2828. These are a great set of tire chains to have on hand for an emergency situation. They'll give you traction on ice and get you through the snow as well.

The Titan Chains item # TC2828 have studded V-bar links that cross over your tires in a ladder shaped pattern. They'll dig into an icy road and keep you from sliding all over the place or winding up in a ditch. They are rated for on-road and off-road use as well.

I also recommend adding the Titan Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster item # TCMA2. These will make sure that the chains stay tight on your wheels and you won't have to stop to readjust them.

How far outside of Memphis are you? I spent a long weekend down there a couple summers ago and had such a fun time. I'm going to be going back this summer so if you've got a fried chicken restaurant that's better than Gus's I'd love to hear about it.

Awesome, thankf for the info, I will purchase immediately. I'm about 32 miles south, and a lot of people recommend Uncle Lous chicken, and of course bbq, rendezvous, Memphis bbq co, etc.

@JonathanW You're welcome! Thanks for the recommendations! I actually ate at Rendezvous after a Cardinals game. It was amazing! I'll look the other ones up when I'm in town. If you have any additional questions or need any help down the road, don't hesitate to reach out.
