AJ: What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we have this rubber tensioner from Titan Chains. I'm going to show you how it works on your Cam tightened chains. Now, usually, these would go on ones that don't have the Cam tighteners because this gets it pretty tight, but you can still use them on these chains just to pull it in that much tighter if these don't do the trick. Sometimes, you can tighten all these down and there's still some play in there. This is going to get all that play out there.
It's going to pull the chains to the center of the tire and keep them in place as you go down the road, especially in those extreme situations. Let's check them out.Now, how they work is you take the metal hooks and you can attach them to different points, almost a star pattern, on your chains. And that's going to have this rubber band for lack of a better term. It's going to pull in on the chains and keep them snug. You can kind of see how it works.
I'll try and loosen this one to show you. They're on there really tight. Now, these can slide off so you want to be careful of that, but they can easily go right back on. There's no extra tools needed with this. You would just bring it up here to the top and fed through one of the links just like that.Now, it works with rims from 15 inches to 24-inch rims.
So that's quite a bit of different sizes it's going to fit. It's going to be more for bigger trucks, bigger tires like this. There's another version that's smaller that works with your normal cars, but it's a good way to add that tensioner on your truck. Now, they do come in a quantity of two so that's going to work with one set of chains. So, if you want one for each tire of your truck, you're going to have to get two sets of these.

These are fairly robust and definitely do the job of tensioning my chains. I use them on my plow truck and they stay on late fall through late spring here in Wyoming. With that much sun exposure they do crack from UV, extreme cold, and use.
In five days arrived at Colorado mountain area with all other items. They appear to be well made and sturdy
Works good as it should no longer use it though because I got rid of the truck I used it on but I’m keeping them for future use still in excellent condition even with salt and moisture on them I recommend them to anyone who need them they work great I definitely will come back on this site and reorder accessories and thing I want for my vehicle great website for parts and anything needed I like these items it keeps chain tight against wheel and snug up so it don’t damage the vehicle wheel well I drove with them on for 2 hr drive through deep snow and had no issues worked wonderfully good and had good traction from right tire chains had no problems with them at all I have no bad things to say I definitely get more if I needed them

I have not had deep enough snow to put chains on my 4WD just yet but the chains fit well. I also thank etrailer for all of the very helpful videos and product support to make an informed decision. Super helpful!

these appear to be very strong, with 3/8 dia. rubber cord and good robust hooks. they are for 22.5 inch rim tires, so they need to be robust and have some pulling power.
Just got these along with chains so I can't review the product yet but Lexus was very helpful. Customer Service was above and beyond; something that is lacking these days. Had great follow up along with answering all the questions I had.
I have not used my tensioners yet but they look to be very heavy duty. Others I orderd for use on my truck seemed far too light. I don't see this set breaking under conditions I might subject them to.
