Question:

hi, im needing a set of these for my mahindra roxor 2024 model,,i have 235x85r16 mt tires on it now,,i work in the oilfields and need to be able to get around this winter. the roads i travel are not well maintained. i think the v-bar chains are to aggressive for my concrete driveway and square links will probably last longer,,your opinon would be greatly appreciated,,thanks in advance

Hey James, thanks for the information. V Bar chains like item # TC2821CAM will chew up your driveway. They're going to work extremely well on ice and snow though. The Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains item # TC2221SHD are definitely going to be a better option if chewing up and scratching your driveway is your primary concern. However, they will be less effective on ice and rough roads.

Both are going to last the same amount of time depending on how you use and store them. Neither should be installed on a cleared off surface though. It's recommended to install tire chains only on snow or ice covered ground for both reasons you're concerned with. If it was me I would use the V Bar Chains item # TC2821CAM and install them in a parking lot or somewhere on the way so you don't have to worry about your damaging driveway. Then take them off before you get home.

Which ever way you go, I recommend using the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster for Light Trucks item # TCMA2. These will help keep your chains lined up and tight.

Where are you located at? I've got friends in Williston and those winters sound miserable.

Hey James, how did the Titan square link chains work out on your Roxor this winter? I'm curious if they gave you enough traction without tearing up your driveway. Your experience could help others who drive on rough oilfield roads too.
