Question:
I have a 2012 chevrolet traverse that I want to install a cooler on. Do you have any recomendations for this installation. I havent been able to find any information concerning removal of the front bumper section of this vehicle? Also will the recommended cooler D13503 provide the same cooling as the factory installed radiator used for trailer towing in the V92 trailer towing package?

First, you do not necessarily have to remove the front clip on your 2012 Chevy Traverse to install a supplemental transmission cooler. It just makes installation a lot easier if there is nothing in the way. We have not yet installed a transmission cooler on a Traverse so I do not have a video or specific instructions on removing the front clip.
When our installers perform an installation they have to determine where the fasteners are that hold on the front clip (if it is a vehicle they have not seen before). Normally there are several fasteners on the top when you open the hood, underneath, and in the wheel wells.Often times the wiring to the headlights and fog lights has to be disconnected.
Any transmission cooler is going to offer additional cooling. Since transmission fluid cannot be overcooled we suggest using the largest cooler that will fit in the space available. Cooler # D13503 is a fairly good sized cooler that should be on par if not better than a factory add-on cooler.
You will also need either fitting set # D13035 for snap-in type fittings, or # D13018 for threaded fittings so you do not have to cut and flare lines. I have included a couple of FAQ links on transmission coolers for you.
