Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish
This wheel has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
The standard tread on these tires has solid, continuous ribs with very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. These tires are designed for use on trailers, so they don't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Rambler radials have double polyester cords and double steel belts. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Rambler ST205/75R15 Load Range D Radial Trailer Tire with 15 inch Vesper Black Mod Wheel with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. The special trailer tire or ST tire has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. This is created specifically for your trailers and it's not intended for use on other vehicles.
Now this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. The nylon tread firming belt overlays help prevent tread separation and the tread bars are gonna give you a quick visual indicator of tread wear. Now as we have stamped on our tire here, this is an ST205/75R15. This is a load range D tire, meaning it has an eight ply rating. The maximum load on this tire is 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI.
And it has a speed rating of M indicating the maximum speed of 81 miles per hour. Now this sturdy steel wheel features this modular design that you see here, and this has a black acrylic enamel finish that's going to resist chipping and other damage better than powder coat finishes. The finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pretreatment and covers an E-coat primer layer. So all that to say it has an excellent corrosion resistance with the salt spray rating of more than 1000 hours. Now this wheel does use beveled stud holes and that's gonna help keep your wheels securely in place on the trailer hub, and that's going to also eliminate the need for the constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
Now the dimensions of this wheel, beginning with the diameter, measuring bead seat to bead seat where the tire actually sits in the wheel, measuring that diameter, this is going to be 15 inches. And then the width of the wheel, again, measuring inside to inside where that tire sits in that wheel, it's going to be five inches wide. Now this has a bolt pattern of five on four and a half inches. The first number in that bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first.
The capacity of this wheel is 2,160 pounds. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately, but if you pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits a pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. This tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. The tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications. And one final note, this tire and wheel assembly does come with a Platinum Plus Warranty, which includes complimentary roadside assistance for two years. So if your trailer has a flat tire, you simply call their help line and a technician will come and change out that flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. And that service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services as well. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our brief look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
