A-Frame Jack with Wheel Caster Recommendation for Shasta Airflyte

Updated 09/02/2026 | Published 08/18/2026

Question:

Is there a castor WEEL that can be used with this jack? I’d like to have that option when I park the trailer at home. This would make it easier to get it into position. I have a vintage 1959 Shasta Airflyte Camper.

Hey Diana, there isn't a confirmed caster wheel available for the # e38AV but I do have a similar solution that will work. The etrailer jack is designed to use its included foot/SnapPad. If you need a jack that allows the trailer to be rolled around, I'd recommend switching to a jack specifically designed with a caster wheel like the Dutton Lainson part # DL74MR which will work great for you. What does your Shasta weigh? It looks pretty awesome!

My Shasta weighs 1,800 lbs. But I don’t need a caster wheel all of the time. I only need a caster wheel when I’m parking the Shasta at home and need to finesse it into place. I’d rather not have a trailer jack with a caster wheel when camping. Wouldn’t a foot pad be more stable while camping? I was interested in this trailer jack because it can be raised/lowered with a drill. I’m 65 and I want a trailer jack that I don’t have to raise and lower manually. That’s the most important thing I’m looking for in a new trailer jack. That and a good warranty. But I don’t want an electric one.
