Upgrading Standard Drop Leg Foot To Snappad Style On etrailer Swivel A-Frame Jacks

Published 05/14/2026

Question:

I use my camper on gravel campsites a lot, and the standard foot on my etrailer A-frame drill jack is pretty beat up. Can I replace the lower section with the SnapPad version instead of putting the same metal foot back on? I'm pretty rough with it and have driven off with the metal plate on the ground still lol.

Hey Marcus! That's unfortunate, but yes, that is exactly where # e44QV makes sense. It replaces the drop leg inner tube on the etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jacks like # e35YV, # e86AV, and # e38AV and adds the SnapPad setup at the same time.

That gives you a fresh lower tube and a wider rubber base, which is a better choice for gravel campsites, grass, and uneven ground than just going back to the standard round foot. If your current lower tube is still in good shape and you only want the bigger footprint, you can use # SN47FR to add the SnapPad to the existing foot. Since yours is already beat up, though, I’d lean toward the complete # e44QV replacement.

Where do you like to go camping, Marcus?
