Yes, it will Stephen. The Dometic Digital Thermostat item # DMC84RR is a furnace only thermostat that is designed to work with 2-wire setups like your Atwood furnace 7916-11.
The Dometic Digital Thermostat item # DMC84RR measures 3-3/8" wide x 3-7/16" tall x 13/16" thick. It is extremely easy to setup and operate.

I had this installed when I updated the rooftop AC on my 21’ Class C to a Furion Chill Cube (which is amazing, BTW!). The chill cube is “cool only” so I needed a solution to control the furnace. Very simple controls and installation, no issues so far. This part with the digital display is the current model, and it does take a battery.
