Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace Ducted Coleman Mach 15 And Control Furnace And AC?
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 08/05/2025 >
Question:
I would like to replace my current ducted Coleman Mach 15 with a chill cube. We have a furnace and the AC. Both are controlled by the jaycommand system. Can I do a direct replacement and control from the jaycommand? Do i need to order any additional components? Im going to relocate by existing Coleman unit to a bunk room, so I would need a new air distribution box as well.

Hello Bryan, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to replace your Coleman Mach 15 with the Furrion Chill Cube AC. The Chill Cube can only work with other Chill Cube components. So you will need to replace the distribution box, controller and thermostat. The Chill Cube works a bit differently from other RV ACs so that is the only way we can guarantee everything will work together.
That said, to replace your ducted unit, I recommend the following:
- Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR69TD
This comes with everything you will need to replace/upgrade your ducted AC system. You get the 18K BTU rooftop unit, controller, thermostat and distribution box. The thermostat can control the AC and the furnace so those would work separately from the Jaycommand system. The video I linked will show you an example of installation.

Hey Bryan, how did the installation of the Furrion Chill Cube AC go? I'm curious if everything worked smoothly with the new components, as it could help others considering a similar upgrade.
