Hey Gloria,
This Coleman-Mach Signature Ac Unit # CM52RR is the same as most standard RV ac units when it comes to noise. A typical ac unit on an RV runs around 55-70 decibels which is comparable to background noise in a busy restaurant. It is hard to really put a number to the sound since everyone hears differently. I would say this unit does not run quiet, but it is also not loud.
