Question:

Hi, I have a 2025 F350 short bed, with the factory puck system, and will be picking up my new fifth wheel camper in 10 days to 2 weeks. Long story short, the dealer is unable to provide me with a hitch. The hitch that I have decided on is the BandW Companion Slider. According to what is on the page for the Hitch, the earliest that I can get it is May 16. Is there any way to get it sooner or do you have another recommendation for a top quality hitch that I can get in time?

Hey Tom, if you're not entirely married to the B&W the Pullrite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Factory Prep Package # PUL73RR is just as good and can get to you before the end of the month.

This hitch also has a 20k capacity, will drop right into your OEM pucks, and has an automatic slider which won't require you to get out of the truck to move the hitch.

Do I need to add something to my 5th wheel pin or hook up to make a pull rite slider work on my truck

@Tom So long as you have a standard kingpin on your 5th wheel trailer's pin box you don't need anything else. The PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Super Duty Factory Prep Package item # PUL73RR will attach directly to your 5th wheel trailer's kingpin. This hitch is designed to fit only in the factory puck systems that come with Ford trucks.

@JerredH My hitch weight is 3250lbs and my GVWR is 20000lbs the pul73RR is only rated at 20000lbs do i need to get 1 size up

@Tom You might depending on how close to 20,000 lbs you get when you're hauling your 5th wheel trailer. There isn't a higher rated PullRite though that fits in the Ford Puck System. You'd need to go with the 21,000 lbs Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # DM24YV.
