Not backwards compatible with any AC systems using R410a refrigerant.

Notes:
Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
In order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air or Dometic air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ADV34QR) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Advent Air 15,000 Btu White Low-Profile RV Air Conditioner. Now this AC is going to give you 15,000 Btus of cooling power, that's gonna be suitable for your large fifth wheel class-A, and your class-A motor homes covering 300-plus square feet. Now, this sleek low-profile design not only enhances the look of your RV, but this is also going to ensure efficient cooling without the bulk. So this is gonna be perfect for you if you love stream-lined stylish exteriors while maintaining that ultimate comfort inside.
Now, taking a look at some measurements here, taking a look at the width first, we're sitting right about 24 7/8 inches wide, about 10 1/8 inches tall. And then the overall length from end to end, about 31 3/16 inches long. So again, about 31 3/16 inches long. Now this is going to fit roofs from 2 1/2 inches to 5 inches thick with an opening size of 14 1/4 inches long by 14 1/4 inches wide. And in order to fully complete the installation, this AC does need to be paired with a 2025 or newer Advent Air air distribution box and thermostat.
This unit is not backwards-compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier due to the new R32 refrigerant that meets the 2025 EPA regulations. So whether your setup is ducted or ductless, this flexible system is going to seamlessly integrate with both, offering you a hassle-free upgrade. And one of the unsung heroes of a comfortable RV trip is a quiet environment. And Advent Air's condensation dispersion system plays a crucial role in that by managing moisture efficiently. This system minimizes water runoff, so that's gonna reduce potential noise outside your vehicle.
And this means more peaceful parking at campgrounds and serene travels down the highway, letting you focus on the joy of your journey. This durable white, hard plastic cover, I think is gonna do a great job of shielding the internal components from water and debris, and that's gonna make sure that your unit remains in top condition no matter where your adventures may take you. If for whatever reason you do need to remove this cover, we have these Phillips head screws along the perimeter, so you'll be able to easily loosen them and remove them and then pop that cover off, clean it out, do any maintenance you need to, and then replace the cover and the screws and you can head on down the road. And on the bottom here, that might be kinda hard for you to see, but we do have thick collapsible gaskets, a gasket rather, with six noise-reducing foam pads. It's going to ensure that this fits snugly onto your roof, giving you that support and sealing the opening to prevent leaks.
So although minor adjustments might need to be made depending on your RV setup, these design elements make the process a whole lot smoother. So again, it's going to ensure that your AC is ready to deliver comfort on all of your travels. So you're gonna be able to extend the comfortable use of this Advent Air unit with an electric heat strip that is sold separately, but you can find it here on our website using item number ACMHD, again, that's ACMHD, and that's gonna be perfect for those mild nights or crisp mornings. It's gonna also add versatility, especially if you enjoy RV-ing year round. It's gonna ensure a cozy interior with the temperature drops. Plus you can add the smart capacitor, or start capacitor rather, for improved performance, and that's gonna make your RV adventures even more enjoyable. And you can find that capacitor using model number ACMSCKIT. Again, that's ACMSCKIT. So obviously we do have this in white, but you can also pick this same unit up in black if that goes better with your RV. So I do have the model number for that black one there. Everything's gonna be the same. And again, this is going to be 15,000 Btus, but we also carry this in 13.5, 13,500 Btu, and you can find that here on our website. Now this is gonna be a bolt-on installation, but again, this is just the AC unit only. So typically the bolts that come, the bolts that you need to install this, will come with the air distribution box, whether it's for your ducted or ductless systems. But with this, you'll just get the AC unit, but we do also have kits available as well. So all that to say, if you have any other additional questions that I didn't cover for you, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. Ultimately, we want to make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Junk. First one the fan was defective and hit the inside of the foam and the whole unit rattled extremely loud. I sent it back and got another one and the compressor doese not kick on. Save your money and buy something else
Easy installation and works wonderfully
Have not installed the unit yet. However customer service deserves a 5 star rating. Way to go Etrailer!
Great service! Great prices! I had a question and technician answered quickly and explained everything.
Boxes arrived intact. Was kept informed about when it would ship, that it had shipped and had arrived and where they had dropped it off.
Was truly great experience! Will recommend to my other RVing friends!
Just turned the AC unit on for the first time this season at the campground and no cold air. The compressor turns on for a few seconds then kicks off. 2nd Advent with issues.
It literally took a half hour to install. I’m so happy that I did it myself and I would recommend it to anybody. Today is July 5 and it’s 106 outside here in AZ and I’m inside my trailer, nice and cool, excellent product.
Easy install. Borrowed a duct jack from a friend to get it on the roof and get old unit off . Unit is operating great . Think I will be pleased with this A/C. It is plug and play . I increased the size from 13,500 btu to 15,000 btu. Will help with efficiency also. I live in my camper. I need the A/C to work well . I have Multiple Sclerosis and very sensitive to the heat. Very good price . Your website is very user friendly .
Wow what a difference a new RV AC makes. I needed a new AC for a 2019 Mallard M260. First I want to say thank you to Katie. I was a little unsure what replacement unit I needed, yet Katie asked me for information about my old unit and found this Advent AC would be a perfect replacement for our Dometic AC. The unit was delivered on time and installing the Advent unit took about 30 minutes. No adjustment necessary. The low profile looks great, customer service great. I plan to bookmark Etrailer website for future use.
etrailer staff is exceptionally helpful and resolves problems professionally.. the advent ac came with a broken squirrel wheel, no damage noted on the evaporator styrofoam cover. Fan lock up and broken parts fell out. Call etrailer and quickly connected to warranty company and new part on the way.
Item arrived damaged by UPS. I contacted etrailer & they are sending a replacement. Very good customer service. As you can looks like the unit was thrown around during shipping.
Dropped the old Dometic off my roof while doing a repair. I’m now glad this happened because it forced a great upgrade. This unit matched right up to my Dometic Airbox perfectly. The low profile unit is much smaller than the Dometic, without sacrificing any performance.
Required a minor repair. This is the second unit I order from Etrailer. Both arrived with minor dents in the metal gray pan. Once both units were installed, about 16 months apart, each unit had the fan that blows air into the RV, rubbing against the Styrofoam enclosure. A slight readjustment to the upper Styrofoam piece corrected the issue. Both units replaced Dometic units and it was very easy install. Disconnect the six pin connector, unscrew four bolts and pull the sensor for the coils.
Bought this unit to replace the original Dometic unit and man what an upgrade!! Hardest part of the installation was getting new unit set and old unit pulled, after that it was following directions and wiring in power. I purchased and installed the new air control box with it and it’s just plug and play, not sure it could have been simpler. This new unit is SOOO much nicer and quieter than the old one! Love the 3 speed fan and thermostat on the control box. I also installed the heat strip and start capacitor to complete the set up, super easy and ready for deer season now! Thanks etrailer!
Y'all have always been speedy to keep my customers happy with timely service and good product.
Was not happy it did not come with mounting bolts.
Yeah, I ordered the a/c which came in two parts. They didn’t match up, one part older than the other. It was sold to me that way, and unfortunately for me, when it was discovered, it was too late for a refund. The point is, I should have received the correct parts at the very beginning…
At this point we have not had a really hot weather yet but i am a little disappointed at what seem to be a slower fan speed apparently resulting in less air movement in the ducts. I have resealed the air box well to keep warm air and cold from mixing in the air box. I even replaced the foil tape around edges of the air box going into the ceiling ducting. Hopefully on a hot day it will perform as needed.
Easy installation. Plug and play replacing my Dometic AC. Just installed today. 22 degrees difference between supply and return air. I’d give it a five but I have to see how it’s doing in a few months.
Unit showed up with a dent in the frame next to the compressor. It ran two days and started giving trouble. Fan would not come on. Believe we are dealing with a weak capacitor. Going to test further to make sure the fan isn’t tripping the thermal overload.
A true plugin and play roof top rv ac. Will at etrailer was very helpful and knowledgeable. Shipping was outstanding, I ordered the ac on Wednesday and it arrived to my place on Friday. The old ac was removed and the new one installed in about an hour and a half.
