Question:
Hi there, I am purchasing a 2025 Sprinter 3500XD 170WB, without the factory tow and with the rear step. Can you please recommend the best hitch that can tow 7000lb and the best brake controller? I would prefer the Curt wireless one. What do I need for an install? Thank you!

Hey Alin! For a hitch I recommend the etrailer # e82TR. Keep in mind, just like the other available hitches you can only tow 7,000 lbs while using a weight distribution hitch. To find the right WDH you need to know the tongue weight of your setup. What kind of trailer are you towing?
For wiring you will start by adding the Curt # C59236 for a 4-way and then upgrade to a 7-way using the # ETBC7L. The # ETBC7L does not include the brake output wire since you don't need it to use the Curt Echo # C51180. The Curt is a good option if you don't want to mess with other wiring.
However, I do prefer the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. The main unit installs behind the dash so only the control knob is visible. It is simple, reliable, and you don't have to worry about messing with an app. If you decide to go this route you will need the # ETBC7 for wiring since that comes with the brake output wire.
