This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 500 lbs maximum tongue weight that can be increased to 7,500 lbs and 750 lbs when used with a weight distribution system.

The reason the etrailer item # e82TR is the best hitch is because of its ease of installation and affordable price. This hitch installs using 8 bolts already attached to your Sprinter's frame. There's no cutting or trimming required.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # TK82VR and a ball mount kit item # C45534. This harness is for the models without the factory towing package.
