Question:
I have a 2019 Honda CRV. I have read your reviews and believe the E98848 hitch would work for me. I plan to occasionally pull a Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer. Is that the hitch you would recommend? I would also need a Trailer Hitch Ball Mount. According to the trailer specs – the required ball size for the vehicle attachment is 2”. The ball height is 14” from the ground to the top of the ball. Which trailer hitch ball mount do you recommend? thanks!

Hey Steve, yes the etrailer hitch part # e98848 that you referenced is the best option for a hitch for your 2019 Honda CR-V and would be a great option to tow your Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer # MAL53FR.
Based on the height of the etrailer hitch and the coupler height of the Ecolight you'd need a ball mount with a rise/drop that is as close to zero as possible. You might be surprised to find out that there aren't any fixed ball mounts with a zero rise/drop and the closest is actually 2 inch drop like with the etrailer ball mount part # e67DR.
Do you have trailer wiring already figured out?

Hey Steve, how did the hitch and ball mount setup work out with your CR-V and the Malone EcoLight trailer? Your update could make it easier for others matching their trailer height to this hitch. Did you end up adding trailer wiring as well?
