Rugged, Matte Black Finish

The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

The hitch was delivered today. The Hitch went in with ease, everything lined up as it should. The video instructions and the paper instructions for cutting the bumper are not as clear as they could be. Fortunately I am a retired professional mechanic and smog technician. I just held the hitch up to the CRV and was able to see where to cut and how much. Other than that, it installed without any problems. The Drawtite hitch 76128 did not fit. Thank you etrailer for making my wife happy.

Excellent ship time. Installation was pretty easy, but getting the hitch in place requires two people. There was more cutting of the splash guard than shown in the directions and the video was much more helpful than the written directions.

etrailer.com had a perfect fit 2" receiver hitch for or 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Sport Touring. Their price was extremely competitive and the installation was free. We saved hundreds over the dealer installed option. I highly recommend them for any late model vehicle. And if you don't live where driving to them for installation is practical, they have some very good installation videos for many models on their website.

Got this about a year ago for my wife's CRV. Installation was very straightforward. The only hard part was getting a couple screws in place, but the kit accounts for that and included fishing wire to pull the screws through. Would highly recommend.

It fit perfectly on our 2024 CR-V hybrid. Other folk’s helpful hints made the difference because I did it by myself. It can be done!
Thanks to the person that said cut a smidge wider & deeper and hold it up there using the tow hook bolt.
Ramps provided just the right amount of room. Exhaust hangers are a pain. Use plenty of silicone spray and wear gloves!

by:
ford Edge

The package came with a hole and the hook has some scratches on the edge as shown on the pictures. Other than that the produxt looks sturdy. Hopefully the scratch and box puncture was not the result of the box being dropped from a high elevation.
I have not installed it yet so I can’t comment on how it fits my car. Will follow up later after I installed it.

The video instructions to install this were excellent. Although it took me a bit longer to install, everything went well.

2026 Honda CR-V

The hitch fit our 2026 Hybrid CR-V. We only need it (a 2-inch) to carry our two 45-lb e-bike that we carry around the country to ride trails. This is the 4th hitch we've purchase from eTrailers, but the 1st that I've not installed myself. We haven't taken any long trips (yet!) but the only issue with the hitch to this point is that our bike carrier (Yakima OnRamp) fits the receiver a little looser than our old receiver. The hitch tightener (similar to Part Number SAR28MR)seems to taken the wiggle out, we'll see how it works on the longer trip!
THis isn't a hitch issue specifically, put on the 2026 CR-V, the tail-lights aren't the same as our older 2020, so they aren't quite as visible with our bikes on the carrier. I may be adding additional wiring for adding lights to the back of the carrier. Additionally, the 2026 has better back-up detection, causing the brakes to be applied automatically when backing. We needed to turn off the back-end collision warning just to back out of our driveway with the bike on the back!

Can't say enough about the level of service and support I've received from eTrailer for this and the hitches and carriers I've purchased from then over the past 10-15 years!

2023 Honda CR-V

The e-trailer hitch for my 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid installed great, didn't take too much time to install and looks great on the vehicle. I did end up having to fully unbolt and drop the exhaust all the way at the front junction at the header pipe, rather than just undoing the 2 exhaust hangers. Just didn't allow enough working space unless the exhaust was removed and out of the way. This was no issue for me (as I am mechanically inclined but could possibly be an issue for others. Just mentioning as an FYI) Had no problems at all and appears to be a very well-built piece.

by:
Honda

The hitch itself is fine, and good quality..BUT this install on a 2025 Honda CR-V hybrid is NOT a DIY driveway installation. I've done 4 other hitches in my life, all older American cars, but I could not get the first muffler hanger off to save my life. I tried every trick on the book, but after an hour I figured, even if I got it off, I'd never get it back on. Tomorrow,I ask a favor from my mechanic . . . Who has a lift, and the right exhaust tools.

by:
2025 Honda CR-V

Perfect Fit! BUT, one fine point that I didn't notice in any videos. The hitch holes are slotted for left and right sliding. After I had completely torqued the four frame bolts, I went to install the tow loop bolt and realized there was a 1/8" gap :( I was too lazy to loosen all the bolts and slide the hitch closer to the frame loop so I just cranked the bolt tight, slightly bending the hitch. No big deal, but I wish I had known that

by:
2026 Honda CR-V

Not much to say - it works! Install video was excellent. I did it without a lift or helper. A bit of a grunt for me working under a small Honda but plenty do-able. Looks to be a quality hitch.

by:

I love my trailer hitch, got it for my 2024 Honda CR-V and was able to install it myself. Took watching the youtube video twice and a little bit of elbow grease I was able to get it installed in about 2 hours. One piece of advice I have for anyone installing it yourself is to buy the exhaust clip hanger tool, made life alot easier.

by:

I have never had a hitch on my car and I took the leap. I have a 2024 CRV sport-L hybrid and it fit perfectly. It took all g time to get it into position and required lots of awkward positions under the car (no lift here), but it fit. And a 100# torque wrench was hard to find from a friend, but it’s installed!

I specifically bought it for my bike rack. The Hollywood 4 bike rack. I have lots of pictures below of what to expect. The jack itself does. It stick out at all so I can’t wack my shins on it. But it seems really solid. I checked the torques on it about 6 months later and they are all still tight. The only thing I have used it for is a bike rack.

by:

This is a great looking hitch for my CRV. I really like the matte black powder coat finish. It looks really good and the and the cross bar is hidden so you only really see the receiver opening. (picture to come)

by:

Fit perfectly. Installation went according to the instructions. etrailer is great at providing descriptions and videos to help understand what to buy. I’ve purchased several items from etrailer and all have been quality products. I trust their information to be accurate, thorough, and informative.

This hitch fit perfectly on my 2022 Honda CRV. Installation wasn't hard - more awkward without a way to raise the rear end of the vehicle. But the hitch fits like a glove, solidly constructed, and doesn't detract from the appearance of my vehicle.

2021 Honda CR-V

recently purchased this hitch for my 2021 Honda CR-V. The main purpose I purchased the hitch is for a hitch mounted bike rack. The CR-V isn’t very accommodating for strap mounted bike racks. As for the installation of the hitch, I would rate it as a 7 with 10 being the most difficult. The etrailer video instructions are good and cover everything I think you should know. The video shows the installation using a car lift. I did the installation with jack stands. I would highly recommend getting the exhaust hanger tool. I did have a couple of different sizes of pry bar’s but the hangers were difficult to release. Also, aligning the CR-V mounting bolts to the hitch mount points took a bit of maneuvering. Otherwise, everything installed pretty much how the video showed it. The hitch looks good as noted in the attached pictures. Overall, I’m very happy with this hitch.

It sounds like that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

Delivery and service good. The product was first rate. After watching the video and using the instructions I was not able to install it myself. The holes did not line up close enough for me to get a nut on the bolt. Will take to my local car shop. They have a lift and they installed my other hitch without any problem.

2018 Honda CR-V

Hitch delivered yesterday as scheduled and I finished installation this morning. The video installation instructions at etrailer extremely helpful . My CRV has only one muffler, so it was that much easier. I went ahead and pretrimmed the under body panel and that I think also made the installation easier. Didn’t have a hoist, so I blocked up the rear about 4 1/2 inches and that was enough. Even had my wife helped me slip the hitch in place and hold it while I fastened the nuts without yelling at each other. Be careful when remounting the rear muffler hanger as there are some sharp edges. Probably took me more than an hour, but that included gathering tools and blocking up the vehicle.
