Features to know about

Keeps Your Trailer Level: 4" Drop and 2" Rise

Getting the right height match between your truck and trailer makes towing smoother and safer. This fixed mount gives you a 4" drop or 2" rise so you can line things up even with trailers that sit lower or higher. Once it’s in your 2" hitch receiver, the 2" pre-torqued ball gives you a solid connection point that’s ready to tow right away—no extra tools needed.

Built to Tow with Confidence: 7,500 lbs GTW Rating

When you’re hauling something substantial, you want gear that won’t flinch under pressure. This mount is rated for 7,500 lbs gross towing weight and 750 lbs tongue weight, giving it plenty of muscle for a wide range of everyday trailers. The durable steel shank takes the strain so you can hook up and hit the road knowing your setup is solid.

Fights Rust and Looks Good Doing It: Double-Layer Finish

Road grime, salt, and wet weather can tear up most hitches fast. This one holds its own thanks to its dual-layer protection: an e-coat base topped with a matte black powder coat. The ball and hitch pin are finished in black nickel, adding both corrosion resistance and a polished look that matches the rest of your setup.

Close-up of etrailer ball mount with pre-torqued 2-inch hitch ball installed in a vehicle receiver, showcasing matte black powder coat and corrosion-resistant finish.

Ready When You Are: Pre-Torqued and Easy to Use

No need to dig out a torque wrench before every trip. The 2" ball comes pre-torqued to factory specs, so it’s good to go right out of the box. Just slide the mount into your hitch, secure it with the pin and clip, and you’re ready to tow—simple as that.

Quiet and Steady Connection: Tight Hitch Fit

Nobody likes a rattling setup on the highway. The hitch pin fits tightly in the receiver to keep everything steady while you drive. It’s that extra bit of fitment that makes towing quieter and more comfortable every time you hook up.

What can I say? It's there, it looks excellent with the finish on the ball and pin, and it's rated for what I need to tow. All in all, it came in on time and at a good price.

I know I may sound biased, but I love the color of the ball mount, too! Really happy to hear it was an all around good purchase for you Adrian. What are you hauling with the new ball mount?

@BrookeM I'm going to be towing a '93 F150 regular cab short bed on a U-Haul auto transport trailer. It should come in just under 6.5k lbs, but I'd rather have some margin on top of that and this does that for me.

@Adrian Well good! What kind of car are you hauling?

by:

The product is great. I just wish it had arrived on time. It arrived a day late, which caused issues.

by:

Functions as it should.

by:

Quality product and quality customer service as always!

by:

Upgrade from my other Class3 hitch that just had a 6000LB rating. I like the look of the nickel plated ball and the powder coat, goes well with the truck.

by:

Ok kids, let's talk customer service.
When I ordered my ball mount assembly pictured above, I typed in half of my new address and half of my old address, these addresses are 1600mi apart. I didn't realize this until after my order was being shipped in the wrong direction, all of this was my fault.
Anyway, after a few panicked calls and emails to Joshua... let me go on a tangent here about Joshua...he returns phone calls and emails like no one ever! Joshua for president!
Anyway, Joshua got it squared away and I got the product I ordered...
The quality and look of this product looks better in person than it does online, and the version on
Looked great and thats what made me order it!
This is a phenomenal product in every way, and this is a solid company.
These cats will be taking more of my money, they are honest, they produce and most importantly.... they communicate!
Thanks man, this is great!

by:

My truck has the blackout package and the matte finish and gray color to the ball look great.

by:

Worked great, it was a little low for my application, but easy to flip the ball around and install that way!

@GwendolynY We used it to tow a car on a U-Haul dolley and that worked perfect.

by:

Although it took longer than anticipated to arrive, the product is exactly what I was looking for.

by:

Quality products. The installation wasn’t bad. Watch the videos, they help.

by:

fast shipping. right parts. pictures match what you get.

by:

Product looks good. I will have to reverse the ball as I need a 2-3 inch lift, not drop. Just need to find my big wrench to get it done.

by:

Worked great for my stock standard 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. was an appopriate drop (maybe even too much, a 2" might have been fine)

by:

Etrailer recommended this for our 2025 Honda CRV. The product is fine, but the recommendation was wrong. Every trailer we've hooked to this 4" drop is too low.

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero
Hey Rene, thanks for the information. To add a hitch to your 2002 Mitsubishi Montero, you'll want the Curt item # C13800. This is a class III, custom fit hitch with a 2" receiver, that includes all necessary hardware to bolt onto your Montero. It will not fit the Sport models and I do not have an option for a hitch that does. For a wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector item # C55380. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Mitsubishi's wiring harness, which is located behind...

  • Trailer Hitch to Fit Behind 2020 Dodge Durango Bumper Cover
Hey Steven, thanks for reaching out! You're going to want the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT38MR for your 2020 Dodge Durango because it sits right behind that cover you're talking about and still allows you to replace the cover when you aren't towing so you can maintain a sleek look on your vehicle. To tow your trailer you'll also need wiring and a ball mount. I recommend picking up the Curt T-Connector # C56336 and securing it to the crosstube of the hitch with the...

  • What Ball Mount do I Need for My 2024 Subaru Crosstrek to Hook-Up to a UHaul Trailer?
Hello Dave, We really appreciate your business, thank you! Yes, the U-Haul couplers sit at about 18", and from the ground to the inside top of the receiver for the Curt # C12184 on a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek is 15". That means you’ll need a 3" rise. I recommend our etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball - 2" Hitch - 4" Drop - 7,500 lbs # e77DR. When inverted, it provides a 2 3/4" rise. You will likely need a shop to remove the ball, flip it, and torque it to 250 ft-lbs, most people...

Hello Wayne; the etrailer Hitch # e98848 will fit your 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. The hitch fits all models of the 2025 CR-V, hybrid included. It has a bolt-on installation, concealed cross tube, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. • Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Harness To Tow a 3,000LB Trailer Behind a 2015 Ford F-150
I recommend our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e63TR for your 2015 Ford F-150. This will bolt on your truck and is rated for trailers up to 6,000lbs. For the trailer wiring you will first want to check for a blank connector near the drivers side frame rail near the back of your truck. If you have the blank rectangle connector like on the Curt 4-Way # C56110 then you will be able to plug in a 4-way. Otherwise you would need to splice in the 4-Way # 18252 to your tail light wiring. • What Hitch, Wiring, Brake Controller, and Ball Mount do I Need for My 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Hello Al, Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us! Of the three hitch options, the Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver # BLU46HR does have the highest tongue weight rating. I would still double check your owner's manual to see what Jeep says your Grand Cherokee can handle. It's pretty common for an aftermarket hitch to be rated higher than the vehicle itself, and you'll always want to follow the lowest-rated component in your towing setup. As of today, 08/18/2026, I would go with # BLU46HR....

Hi Simon; we do have hitches available for your 2025 Acura RDX. The best hitch is our etrailer Hitch # e72AR. This is a Class III hitch with a bolt-on installation and a 2" receiver. What makes this hitch the best is the matte black powder coat finish. The finish helps hide dirt and dings and gives it an OEM look. If you plan on towing you will also need wiring and a ball mount. • Tap Size to Clean Bolt Holes for etrailer Hitch Installation on 2011 Honda CR-V

I attached an article below which covers that process. The bolts used to install the # e39AR are M10x1.25 so the corresponding tap will do the trick if you go that route.
