Heavy-duty carrier lets you safely mount a spare trailer tire in a sleek way. It features an offset design that provides extra clearance and crossed U-bolts for added strength, and it resists corrosion. Holds 4-lug and 5-lug wheels up to 15".
Features:
Specs:
This sturdy spare tire carrier mounts to the trailer tongue in the front of the trailer. The offset design moves the tire and wheel up and away from the trailer frame to improve ground clearance. No drilling is required to install the carrier because the included U-bolts clamp the carrier to the trailer frame. The crisscross design increases the holding power of the U-bolts.
Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Always struggled with the spare on a small cargo trailer. Knew it took up space mounted inside.
Bought another brand and moved it to the tongue. That was low clearance to the ground. It finally caught and bent bad.
This item has a higher offset, so I think my ground clearance is okay.
From new hubs & bearings, new leaf springs, new lights, new spare tire mount, and a ton of helpful information & quick delivery, thanks to all you guys & gals over there! You really helped me out a lot in my project. Have a great rest of the summer.
This works pretty good for a spare tire. It is expensive for a relative simple bracket. The X type mount helps it fit over a variety of C channel or box tube rails. We replaced a wobbly single shackle mount that flopped around with this one. Do not buy a single shackle mount type. The unit itself is worthy of the 5 stars. The cost is certainly higher than you would hope.
The five lug wheel does line up with the bolts on this carrier. One of the bolts is at an angle so it can't be tighten correctly. I haven't figured out what I am going to do with it yet.
highest quality and very easy to install. But it! My trailer part was 2" x 3", but it came with multiple brackets, so check the fit before ordering. Well worth it.
It does what it is supposed to do. It holds my spare wheel and tire on my Bass boat trailer. Simple install. Just make sure you get a locking lug nut or cable lock so your spare stays safe and secure.
Worked exactly as expected for the relocation installation I needed.

Glad to hear that Jeffrey! Is that a Cessna 172 or maybe a glider?
installed the tire carrier horizontally on my trailer, otherwise the tire hits the ground. very sturdy. a little disappointed in the weld job.

The nuts loosen up a couple times. I had to install lock nuts. Otherwise it works like a charm.

Both have been great, no issues.
Nice mount that was easy to install on my boat trailer. I like that there are no potential weld to breat that would cause the tire to come loose.
This was perfect for mounting my small snowmobile trailer tire with a slight modification. I wanted a side mounted spare holder and there are not any that I could find for my trailer tire. I used this mount but modified it slightly using one of the hubs I replaced on my trailer to mount to this. See photos.
Sturdy construction. The method to attach the bolt fir the wheel to the assembly is low quality and won’t work if you take the tire off a few times, but the rest of it is a good deal for a cheaply made China thing. I’m concerned that the bolts and nuts are not galvanized.
This spare tire mount works and fits perfectly. Thank you Kaylyn for recommending this one when the one I ordered was out of stock. This was super easy to install (under 5 minutes), looks great and works great.
I need a place to mount my spare tire on my drop down trailer door and this looked like it would work and it worked great. Four 3.5" x 7/16" bolts and nuts and it was done. My experience with this etrailer and the people that work here was great.
I was looking for a sturdy spare tire bracket for my 5x8 utility trailer that I pull quite often out of town. This one is very stout and affixed well to my trailer. It was very easy to install and a good design.
Glad I purchased this model. All the hardware was fine, no complaints. Only way it would fit my trailer was to turn it sideways and bolt it up with carriage bolts. Drilled 4 holes and it was done. Very pleased with it.
5 lug spare tire holder for my Pace 6x10 enclosed. Easy to install and super sturdy.
Had a blowout on Sunday coming home from lake and had to leave my boat at friends house! That is not happening again! So I ordered this mount and a spare wheel and tire. Fits perfect and installation took 5 minutes!
Easy to mount with a choice of multiple locations on the trailer.
The tire carrier was very easy to mount, took about 15 minutes from box to spare tire in place.
It would be nice if they made something like this with stainless steel hardware with a aluminum mount. It fit the trailer nice and looks good.
Exactly what i expected and more. Glad to see i can trust ordering online from e-trailer. Thank You

What's your wheel's bolt pattern? The carrier is compatible with 5 on 4-1/2, and 5 on 4-3/4 bolt patterns, but it's not compatible with 5 on 5 or 5 on 5-1/2 bolt patterns. If you're unsure, I'll link you to an article that will show you how to easily determine the bolt pattern using only a tape measure....
