Hello Brian; I'm not sure what connector you have on there or what you're looking at. However, the Tow Package Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118247 is confirmed to fit the 2004 Ford F-150 that has a factory 4-way. If you need a mounting bracket you can use the # PK12711U.

Take a look at the picture below and compare that to what you have. I also went ahead and attached an installation video from a 2004 below for your reference. If you don't have this connector the only other thing I can offer is a universal 7-way which is the # ETBC7.

Good morning my Ford truck harness for towing and brake and turn signals has a square and a round connector. The harness 118247 does not have a round connector. This is my problem. The square connector with the male pins looks like it will work.do you think I can just use the square plug with the male pins and not use the other one. Thank you this does get confusing.i just want a plug and play connection.dont want to cut and splice Brian

@Brian correct, if you watch the installation video you will see that you disconnect the factory harness plugs and plug this in-line for installation.
